  • Functional Fibers for Estrogen Detoxification & Plant Estrogens
    Celebrating the 50th episode today, so a big thank you to all of my listeners who have stuck with me throughout this journey as Fully Nourished is seeking to continually improve how we view female physiology on the planes of the physical, the mental, and the spiritual.We are continuing our hormone series today, and we are going to take a deeper dive into plant foods, phytoestrogens, and functional fibers. I’m noticing another pendulum swing where people are beginning to over-demonize plants. There are nuanced examples where women are demonstrating benefits from cutting plants out of their diets, and my fear is that it will become the new fad diet that will push people back into the Carnivore diet, which we’ve already discussed, isn’t ideal, especially for the female physiology. It is critical that we learn to live within the rhythm of our bodies and understand that the spectrum of what our bodies need will shift with the seasons.   • Estrogen Q&A: The Good, The Bad & The Ugly
    Thank you for your patience while I recovered from a cold over the past few weeks. I’m a firm believer that we get sick when we need it, and the recovery and downtime are exactly what I needed, but I’m on the road to recovery, and we are jumping back into our hormone series with a Q&A on Estrogen in today’s episode. The story of estrogen begins in the 1960s when hormonal birth control comes on the scene and has this big push encouraging women to supplement with estrogen to increase their femininity. It is not uncommon to see what we are currently seeing in the menopause crowd today.
