  • Couleurs du Soleil Vol. 010: A look back at 2024
Couleurs du Soleil ten departs from the customary exploration of hidden musical gems, instead capturing the pervasive melodies that defined 2024, those inescapable refrains that etched themselves into our collective memory. Consider it an aural chronicle of the year, a sonic tapestry woven from the threads of popular culture. These are the anthems that echoed from every avenue, the rhythms that resonated throughout the zeitgeist. Recorded live at the family’s winter pied à terre, nestled amongst snow laden peaks, this mix possesses a distinctive energy, imbued with the spirit of the season. The crackling fire, the camaraderie of close friends following a day of exhilarating competition, the shared laughter and celebratory toasts all these elements combine to create an ambiance of warmth, intimacy, and shared triumph. This unique atmosphere infuses the music with a certain je ne sais quoi. A playful exploration of the mainstream, a curated collection of those undeniably catchy tunes that, despite their pervasive presence, captivated our imaginations. Think of it as an invitation to revisit the soundscape of the year, a nostalgic journey through familiar refrains, imbued with the warmth and intimacy of a winter soirée high in the mountains.

  • Couleurs du Soleil Vol. 009
Dear friends, It is with great pleasure that I present Couleurs du Soleil: Volume Nine, the latest chapter in my ongoing organic house mix series, a tradition I hold in the highest regard. This mix was recorded in the serene luxury of my Southampton retreat, where the world slows and the season’s quiet elegance unfolds in the most subtle yet profound way. Winter in Southampton has a beauty all its own. The dunes, untouched by summer’s footsteps, stretch endlessly beneath soft, muted skies. The ocean whispers gently, its waves lapping with a rhythmic calm that seems to echo the stillness of the season. Even the brisk sea air carries a sense of renewal, a quiet reminder of nature’s ability to create space for introspection. The expansive, empty beaches and frost-tipped reeds become a canvas of tranquility, offering a rare moment to pause and reconnect. In this rarefied calm, far from the distractions of the season, I was able to fully immerse myself in sound, creating a mix that reflects both the peaceful solitude of winter and the warmth of the sun’s lingering colors. This mix, running for two hours, 22 minutes, and 12 seconds, holds a special meaning. It mirrors the angel number 222 in numerology, which symbolizes balance, harmony, and trust. It serves as a reminder that we are on the right path and should embrace collaboration, unity, and alignment, particularly in relationships and partnerships. It’s a gentle invitation to trust the process as you move forward. I hope Couleurs du Soleil: Volume Nine will accompany your moments of reflection, celebration, or simple indulgence in the beauty of now. As always, I am deeply grateful for your presence on this journey. Your continued support elevates these mixes beyond measure.

  • Couleurs du Soleil Vol. 007: Art Basel Miami Beach Yacht Party
On a crisp Miami evening, as Art Basel transformed the city into a playground of global creativity, a private yacht anchored at Island Gardens Deep Harbour became the epicenter of an exclusive soirée. It was a gathering where art, music, and culture intertwined effortlessly—an evening curated for those who understand the quiet luxury of life’s finest experiences. Beneath a canopy of stars and amidst the gentle murmur of waves, the party unfolded with an air of timeless elegance. Champagne flutes clinked softly as a private fireworks display lit up the night, each shimmering burst reflected on the glassy waters—a celebration that felt both intimate and monumental. The musical odyssey that set the tone for the evening began with "Shadows (Fka Mash Remix)" by Demayä and Aleksandra Krstic (0:00), its moody, melodic notes weaving seamlessly with the twinkling lights of the Miami skyline. As the yacht swayed gently to the rhythm of the tides, the set transitioned into "There Is Still Pain Left (Laolu Remix)" by Sophie Hunger (5:00), a track layered with depth and emotion, and "Free You (Super Flu Remix)" by Moscoman, Kadosh (IL) feat. Stereo MC's (11:50), whose playful, uplifting energy began to draw smiles and subtle movements among the guests. At 16:43, the vibrant energy of "Rinketin" by Samm (BE) and Ajna (BE) broke through, offering an eclectic pulse that hinted at the global influence of the evening’s music. Soon after, the sultry undertones of "Me Robaste El Sueño (Mario Bianco Remix)" by Martina Camargo (19:20) brought a sense of romantic nostalgia, while "Sala Papa Ye" by Soulroots & Soul Star (24:50) filled the air with hypnotic, Afro-infused beats that beckoned even the most reserved guests to surrender to the rhythm. As the evening deepened, the deck transformed. Lanterns cast a soft glow across the yacht as tracks like "Understanding" by Simone Vitullo and VXSION (30:06) and "Move Like That (Moish & Vasilis Remix)" by Sky White (34:38) bridged the transition from conversation to dance. The music’s tempo quickened, and by the time "Nomada" by Pablo Fierro (44:12) took over, the energy onboard was magnetic. Then came the defining moment—a crescendo of fireworks synchronized to "Hit Me Up" by Klement Bonelli, Manoo, Emmanuel Kossi (feat. Rick Purdy) (49:34). As bursts of color painted the night sky and champagne glasses sparkled in the light, the music swelled to meet the grandeur of the moment. Yet the evening’s magic didn’t stop there. The closing tracks brought a sense of reflection and intimacy, grounding the exuberance with thoughtful precision. "No Distance" by Dixon, Guy Gerber, and Steffen Berkhahn (55:50) cast a spell of quiet introspection, a melodic lull that mirrored the gentle sway of the yacht on the water. Finally, "Vha Vhenda (THEMBA's Herd Mix)" by THEMBA feat. Philip Tabane (1:19:40) delivered a soulful, resonant flourish, its rich textures wrapping the night in a sense of completion. This was more than just a playlist—it was a masterful symphony of sound, light, and emotion, curated to create an unforgettable experience. From the shimmer of the fireworks to the echo of world-class beats, every detail spoke of artful precision and understated elegance—a night that will linger long after the final note fades into the horizon.
