Whether it’s by the side of a drumming teddy in Galaxy Bear, leading the ship as the front man of Mammalien, as a solid foundation in bands such as Being and Princess Chelsea’s Dream Warriors, behind the bar at Whammy, or vigorously conducing in front of the expansive Exploding Rainbow Orchestra, to name but a few of his pursuits. Josh is truly invested in the local music community, and the effects of his presence are felt and appreciated by many. Levi Hawken
Levi Hawken is an artist and skateboarder based in Tāmaki Makaurau. Working with Blue Tile Lounge, Boom Skateboards, and Sector 9, Hawken has explored the streets as a pro, but always kept in touch with the personal joy that comes from riding, particularly gaining notoriety as a hill bomber. As an artist his works explore the mediums of painting and sculpture with a contemporary take on aspects of modernism and brutalism. Come hear about the legend Levi’s life this week on FGA!
