Mission Stories from Africa—Elder Carlos A. Godoy, "Smiling Faces and Grateful Hearts"

    30/03/2026 | 1h 15 mins.
03/30/2026 S6E72, Episode #233, Elder Carlos A. Godoy, General Authority Seventy of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, October 2025 General Conference, "Smiling Faces and Grateful Hearts."
Mitch and Clay were joined by Greg Wilson, the guy who likely made the furniture you pull out for ward parties. Greg founded Mity (aka Mity-Lite) to create lightweight tables and chairs for the church. He grew it into a multinational company, supplying the church but also schools and other venues, before selling it 20 years ago. In retirement, the Wilsons served a mission to the Democratic Republic of the Congo where they experienced incredible things and made lifelong friends. Greg is one of the biggest advocates for everyone, but especially seniors, to serve missions. Hopefully his stories inspire you to put in your papers!
This episode touches on gratitude, poverty, senior missionary service, Africa, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, miracles, dedication, trusting the Lord, and much more!

Grumpy Dispositions & Comforting Your Neighbors—Elder Patrick Kearon R&R

03/13/2026 S6E69, Episode #230, Return & Report for Elder Patrick Kearon's October 2025 General Conference talk, "Jesus Christ and Your New Beginning."
Mitch, Clay, and our Australian guest, Gary Woodward, covered this talk in depth several months ago (Episode 186) and committed to each take action on at least one of Elder Kearon's invitations.
This Return & Report episode is where we hold ourselves accountable and share how it went, what we learned, and how we can improve. We chat about grumpy dispositions, good books by an LDS author, being more aware of our neighbors' trials, and more.
R&R episodes have little to do with "rest & relaxation." They are where the "APPLIED" of General Conference Applied really comes to life. We invite you to take action too and let us know how it goes.
