Do you remember the holiday special "The Grinch Who Stole Christmas"? It is one of my favorites, but recently I realized that it is also a POWERFUL manifestation story too! In this episode, I share how the Grinch is a mindset that might be stealing YOUR miracles right now! I will teach you how to recognize this sneaky thief and stop it in its tracks, as well as how all the Whos in Whoville show us exactly how to magnify our miracles! Recently, during a coaching session with a client, Mother Mary used this story to illustrate how the Grinch is a mindset that can steal our miracles, if we let him! 2) The Grinch mindset is the logical and often critical mind that talks us out of our ideas and inspirations. This tricky voice in your head often sounds reasonable and responsible, which is how it tricks you into putting off acting on your dream. But don't be fooled! Just as the Grinch lied to Cindy Loo Who, who was no more than two, that he was fixing the tree and would return it, your inner Grinch lies to you too by telling you 'you are not ready for your miracle.' 3) The best part of the Grinch story is the very end, where all the Whos in Whoville come out and celebrate Christmas anyway. They don't let their outer circumstances dictate their reality; they create their reality by "acting as if!" This powerful action causes the outer world to shift to match their energy, and the Grinch returns all of the stolen Christmas items to them. "The Grinch mindset tricks you into believing your circumstances create your reality. Have you ever wished that you could pray like a saint? Most people probably think that a saint prays in a formal and pious kind of way… but nothing could be further from the truth! If you long to have the type of intimate connection with the Divine that saints experience, this is the episode for you! In this episode, I share the simple and powerful prayer method of St. Catherine Laboure, who experienced two apparitions of Mother Mary and brought the Miraculous Medal into being! This intimacy is often reflected in their prayers. Rather than being formal and pious, their prayers are often conversational and filled with devotion, much like how you might talk with a dear friend or loved one. 2) On a recent visit to the Basilica Shrine of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal in Philadelphia, I noticed something I hadn't seen before. On the wall was the Prayer of St. Catherine Laboure. The prayer itself is simple, but it says so much. And she gives us much more than a prayer, St. Catherine teaches us how to talk AND listen to God. 3) Here is the prayer written on the plaque of the Basilica: Whenever I go to the chapel, I put myself in the presence of our good Lord, and I say to Him, "Lord, I am here. Tell me what you would have me to do." If He gives me some task, I am content, and I thank Him. If He gives me nothing, I still thank Him, since I do not deserve to receive anything more than that. And then, I tell God everything that is in my heart. I tell Him about my pains and joys, and then I listen. If you listen, God will also speak to you, for with the good Lord, you have to both speak and listen. God always speaks to you when you approach Him plainly and simply."
