I Know What You Watched in the 90s (and early 2000s)

Welcome to our looooong discussion over 1993s hilarious-hijinks-movie-that-wait-what-is-actually-devastating-as-an-adult-and-we-never-want-to-watch-again, "Mrs. Doubtfire." Robin Williams, you are so talented and it was as impressive and funny as ever to watch your impressions. We wish you could have saved these kids from Daniel, Miranda, Stu, basically anyone but Uncle Frank and Aunt Jack.

It's 2026, which means it's been 33 years since 1993s "Rookie of the Year!" This is the first time Samantha and Bryant have seen this movie, so can you guess whether they as adults enjoyed it more than when Jason watched it when he was 13? 😂 Please enjoy our ridiculous commentary, including our thoughts on Henry's critical blabbermouth grandma that we never meet.

Happy December! Our episode on 2003s “Elf” may be one of the most wholesome ones we’ve ever done, and I don’t know what it says about our brand that it’s also one our shortest. We hope listening to the three of us agree on what we like about a movie is a peaceful way to end the year, but if not I’m sure we’ll have plenty to disagree on in 2026. Happy Holidays!

It's two IKWYWIT90S firsts - a BRAND-NEW special guest AND our first/(maybe last?) DCOM (Disney Channel Original Movie)! It may also be one of the episodes in which we most equally discuss the good (Grandma's bag, Sophie, the concept of Halloweentown); the bad (the execution of Halloweentown, Marnie and Dylan's teenage-ness); and the ugly (apparently "handsome" Luke). This one's unapologetically for all of our 1998 mortal-kids-wishing-they-were-witches!

Some lessons from our episode about 2002s "The Ring":
- Bryant doesn't like scary movies.
- You can't convince us that Aidan wasn't haunted, and potentially a butler.
- Today's PG-13 movies are not trying hard enough to be as good as "The Ring."
- Saying "that's what makes it scary" is a good way to justify not understanding why something is happening.
- This is a good scary movie... and Bryant doesn't like scary movies.
