Well… this is awkward.
After nearly six years, countless kits, questionable modelling advice, inappropriate laughter, unexpected tangents and more conversations than anyone probably needed to hear…
Just Making Conversation has reached its final episode.
And yes, we really did just say that.
For one last time, James Skiffins and Malcolm Childs sit down behind the microphones to do what they've always done best — talk about modelling, talk about life, talk absolute rubbish, and occasionally pretend there was a plan all along.
But this time, there's a rather significant difference.
There won't be another episode.
Probably.
In this final conversation, James and Malcolm look back at where Just Making Conversation began, why they started the show, how it evolved, the people they've met along the way, the subjects they've discussed, the moments that still make them laugh and the things that, perhaps wisely, should never be repeated.
We talk about nearly six years of podcasting, the highs, the lows, the unexpected moments and the strange journey from two modellers with some microphones to becoming part of the wider modelling community.
We also talk about the most important ingredient of all:
the friendship.
Because underneath all the modelling chat, terrible jokes and completely unnecessary detours, JMC was always about two mates having a conversation.
And somehow, people decided they wanted to listen.
So why stop now?
That's something James and Malcolm attempt to explain — although, being JMC, there's every chance the answer gets lost somewhere between the stash, a modelling tangent and somebody saying something they immediately regret.
There are memories.
There are stories.
There are laughs.
There may even be a few moments of genuine emotion.
But don't worry.
We're not going all serious on you.
This is still Just Making Conversation.
So grab yourself a brew, pull up a chair, take one last wander over to the bench and join us for the final chapter of a podcast that was never really supposed to become what it became.
Six years.
Hundreds of conversations.
A ridiculous number of models.
A lot of friends.
And one final episode.
Well… This Is Awkward.
