Red Bull arrived at the 2026 Belgian Grand Prix with a clear plan for Isack Hadjar...but by Sunday evening, team boss Laurent Mekies was calling it Hadjar's best race for Red Bull. AND THEN he called the Verstappen-Hadjar lineup the 'ideal pairing' for Red Bull. What does that mean for Liam Lawson and Arvid Lindblad? Well, it's not good news for them. For Isack? The Hungaroring is a place where slow and medium speed corners rule out...a place where Red Bull should be flattered!

A strong Verstappen result on Sunday tells you almost nothing about whether the car is actually fixed or not...but it DOES give Red Bull a break from the relentless transfer talk. In other news, Aston Martin's B-spec revival begins whilst McLaren's new floor and reserve driver get to strut their funky stuff to the F1 world...and add even further pressure to Haas and Esteban Ocon, the Italian rapidly becoming the favourite to succeed the Frenchman, according to reports.

The latest Spa F1 race gave us the weirdest scoreboard of the season. George Russell's race lasted five corners whilst the guy who caused leaped past him in the champsionship and Kimi Antonelli regained a solid lead after weeks of nervous tension. The F1 rulebook HAS allowed extra components because reliability was uncertain...but the parts fail and it's not Mercedes that suffer first. Also, the numbers don't care about your feelings.
