We start the show with some statement wins around the league last night. The Pittsburgh Penguins went into Edmonton and put up a six-spot in a big win and the Nashville Predators rallied from 3-0 down to beat the struggling Senators 5-3 on the back of a Steven Stamkos hat-trick. The Buffalo Sabres also picked up a massive win in a divisional matchup with the Canadiens.

Matt Larkin has a new trade board up on the DFO website. The guys dive into some of the top trade targets available around the league.

Mikko Rantanen was traded to the Hurricanes almost a year to the day. What big names could be moved at the deadline, and could there be another big, shocking move from a Central Division team this year?

We start the show with the San Jose Sharks’ acquisition of Vancouver forward Kiefer Sherwood. As David Pagnotta said yesterday on the show the price had dropped and it was imminent for a Sherwood trade, and not long after the show the NHL hits leader was shipped to San Jose for two seconds and undrafted defenceman Cole Clayton.

It was an eventful return for Matthew Tkachuk as the San Jose Sharks came into Sunrise and punched the Panthers in the mouth in a 4-1 defeat. Alex Nedeljkovic and Sergei Bobrovsky got into a rare goalie fight and Ned had the fists flying after a questionable hit on a Sharks defender.
