Forest City in Malaysia was designed to become a futuristic city for hundreds of thousands of people, but a combination of changing regulations, China's property crisis, the COVID-19 pandemic, and other challenges left huge portions of the development dramatically under-occupied. The result was a surreal landscape of towering apartments, beautiful landscaping, and unusually quiet streets that earned it the nickname “Ghost City.” But Forest City isn't actually abandoned, and its story is changing as new residents, businesses, and government-backed economic plans begin bringing activity back.

What would you do if someone was trapped more than 1,000 feet inside a flooded cave?
In 1992, David Gant became trapped inside Tennessee's Nickajack Cave with his scuba air running out and only a tiny pocket of air keeping him alive.
Rescuers searched for him, found an old map of the cave, and came up with an incredible solution...
They lowered the lake.
The water level dropped, giving Gant more air space and rescuers a better chance of reaching him.
After roughly 16 hours underground, rescuers finally heard his voice.
He was alive.

Forty days lost in the Amazon rainforest. 🌿
In 2023, four siblings disappeared into the Colombian rainforest after a plane crash.
The oldest was just 13 years old, and the youngest was only 11 months.
For 40 days, search teams followed tiny footprints, found abandoned shelters, and searched through one of the most difficult environments on Earth.
Then, on day 40, they found them.

Their survival wasn't just luck.
The children's knowledge of the rainforest, lessons passed down through their Indigenous Huitoto community, and the determination of hundreds of rescuers all played a role.
