Jon and Janey and Susie are still anxiously awaiting the results of the scan, and the medical staff in the Accident and Emergency Department are just about keeping their heads above water with the weekend rush as well as random relatives - or are they? Helen, as you've probably worked out for yourselves, has had an accident and is presently in a coma in the Accident and Emergency Dept, where the staff are trying to figure out who she is. Helen, in her head, is desperate to know where she is, while her daughter Janey is also desperate to find her mother, helped by Helen's neighbour, Jennifer. Episode 2 of Season 12 continues with the mystery of whatever happened to Helen. Her neighbour Jennifer offers to help look for her, while Helen seems to be looking for herself. Ferdie was played by Chris Roust, Charmian by Catherine Pip, Roy Carruthers was Tom the Paramedic. Wendy Lap played Lou the Paramedic, as well as Nurse Cassy and Mrs McMillan. Christopher McDougall played Dr Harold Godley and the policeman, Frances Broudie Oldridge was Nurse Freda. Helen as a child, and as a teenager was played by Kate Hanley-Corley, Thomas was played by Piyush Agarwal, and grownup Helen and Janey were played by me, Flloyd Kennedy. The sound design is getting more complicated by the minute, but here's what I've managed: hospital emergency department was recorded by me at the Royal Liverpool, the cafe ambience was recorded at the Sweet Pea Cafe in West Kirkby.
