Episode 3: Jesus Christ - Advocate

    26/04/2026 | 31 mins.
In this episode, I'm talking about Jesus Christ as our Advocate — not just someday at judgment, but right now, in the middle of our messy, mortal lives. I share what I learned while studying the word advocate, how the Holy Ghost helps bring Christ's advocacy into our hearts, and why staying close to the Spirit matters so much. I also share a personal scripture moment from 2 Corinthians 8 that reminded me the Lord accepts what we can offer, not what we can't. Christ is beside us, cheering for us, pleading for us, strengthening us, and helping us come home.

Episode 2: Jesus Christ - The Prince of Peace

    13/04/2026 | 36 mins.
In this episode, I talk about what it has meant to me to know Jesus Christ as the Prince of Peace. I share personal experiences, from family struggles to fear and anger, and how I've learned that peace doesn't come from fixing everything around me, but from turning to Jesus and letting Him change what's happening inside my heart.
Using the story of the Savior calming the storm, I ask: How long do we stay in the storm before we go to Him? I've learned that peace isn't something I can create on my own—it's something Christ is already offering, if I'm willing to ask.
This episode is a reminder to me (and to you) that the price of peace is righteousness, and that when I finally say, "Can you take this?"—He does.

Melanie is back and launching a new season centered on the names of Jesus Christ. In this opening episode, she shares why she felt prompted to return, reflects on the armor of God—especially the helmet of salvation—and talks about the need to protect our thoughts, strengthen our faith, and seek the constant companionship of the Holy Ghost. She also invites listeners to join her in preparing spiritually, studying Christ more deeply, and building their own "ark" before the storms come.

Episode 45 - The Articles of Faith and Official Declarations 1 and 2 "We Believe"

    10/12/2025 | 48 mins.
In this episode, I dive into the Articles of Faith and Official Declarations 1 and 2 and talk about what they teach us about revelation, change, and trusting living prophets. I share how the scriptures, especially the Book of Mormon, help us sort truth from noise, why repentance and faith in Christ are so central, and how we can honor others' right to worship while holding fast to our own beliefs. In the end, I come back to Nephi's "nevertheless": we don't know the meaning of all things, but we do know that God loves His children—and that truth is enough to keep us on the covenant path.

Episode 44 - Doctrine and Covenants 135–136, He Has Sealed His Mission and His Works with His Own Blood" + Your Testimonies of Joseph Smith

    02/12/2025 | 47 mins.
This episode is about Joseph Smith. This episode includes testimonies from many different people.
    From the manual:
The afternoon of June 27, 1844, found Joseph and Hyrum Smith in jail once again, accompanied by John Taylor and Willard Richards. They believed they were innocent of any crime, but they submitted to arrest, hoping to prevent violence against the Saints in Nauvoo. This wasn't the first time that enemies of the Church had put the Prophet Joseph in prison, but this time he seemed to know that he would not return alive. He and his friends tried to comfort each other by reading from the Book of Mormon and singing hymns. Then gunshots were heard, and within a few minutes the mortal lives of Joseph Smith and his brother Hyrum had come to an end.
And yet it was not the end of the divine cause they had embraced. And it was not the end of the Restoration of the gospel of Jesus Christ. There was more work to do and more revelation that would guide the Church forward. Killing the Prophet could not kill the work of God.
Please also watch this, I forgot to mention it on the podcast but it's one of my all time favorite talks about the Prophet Joseph Smith.  It's called, "Safety for the Soul" by Jeffrey R Holland.
