She has written, interviewed and reported extensively on the exile Tibetan community particularly during her time as a reporter at Phayul Media.In this podcast, Choekyi Lhamo shares her experience of what drew her into journalism and her experience growing up in the Tibetan Settlement of Dhondupling commonly known as Clement Town among Tibetans. She further shed lights on her experience in studying at UC Berkeley and the plethora of things she learnt from American community there. Highlighting the critical role that meetings like the International Tibet Youth Forum and Voluntary Tibet Advocacy Group (V-TAG), organised by the Central Tibetan Administration, play in the lives of many young Tibetans. She further emphasised her recent trip to India, where she took part in the Ghoton (90th Birthday celebration of His Holiness the Dalai Lama) and other engagements. All of which made her extra motivated to continue her advocacy on Tibet in Australia, especially with the policy makers, while continuing the grassroots engagements.
