I have my pregnancy group chat girls here with me 🥹 Sami Spalter (mom to Sunny, Co-founder of Form) and Courtney Shields Sutor (mom to Kinsley & Georgia, Co-founder of Dibs Beauty) joined me on the pod for a FUN & MEANINGFUL conversation about pregnancy & postpartum. 

Quick context: the three of us started a group chat when we found out we were all due in April 2026 (literally 2 weeks apart!!!), and these are the girls who got me through ALL 40 weeks of pregnancy AND the first two months of postpartum. We were sending each other our 2AM freak out questions, hitting the same cravings at the same time, and showing up for each other in a way I genuinely don't think I could have made it through without!! 

In this episode, we get into EVERYTHING you'd think we would: the MAJOR identity shift of becoming a mom (Sami said if she got blood drawn, it would show she’s a different human lol), the reality of postpartum depression (and how it looks differently for everyone!!!), our 3 completely different feeding journeys (breastfeeding, combo & formula - and why the shame around feeding choices needs to GO), relationship dynamics after a newborn, and how we handle external opinions/“mom-shaming” online (spoiler: blocking is a great option).

We also get into how our pregnancy group chat actually STARTED (& how YOU can/should start your own), why we think finding moms due in the same month as you is the absolute game-changer of pregnancy + postpartum (your cravings hit at the same time, your trimesters hit at the same time, your postpartum hits at the same time… nothing compares), and so much more.

This week on Two Parents & A Podcast, happy Monday!!!! We are coming off of a CHAOTIC night… our fire alarm went off 4 TIMES between 3 and 5 AM, and we ended up having to take a screwdriver to the wall to dismantle the entire system to make it stop 😭 (+ Alex had postpartum heartburn so bad ChatGPT was actively trying to send her to the ER.) But the show goes on…

We start with our Father's Day BBQ recap (we fried chicken for the neighbors!!) and played a fun game: who are the top 10 most followed people on Instagram?! (We did NOT see a few of these coming.) Other Father's Day stuff: the viral "don't tell mom" article & Harrison getting GOT by World Cup marketing (aka he ordered himself an 11pm Father's Day McDonald's).

Speaking of the World Cup, the World Cup / parenting story all over our feeds this weekend: should a player leave the World Cup for the birth of his son?! (A Belgium player AND a Norway player both had to make this call this weekend!) Harrison and Alex are NOT on the same page about this one, and we want your take in the comments.

OK next up: kids' birthday parties. We are LOVING them right now (but is it just because we aren't going to a TON?!). We did the math and apparently 48 birthday parties per year is a real possibility. We have a “QUESTION OF THE WEEK” (an h-bomb lol) to go along with this topic: would you let your kid go to a pool party where the host parents told you to leave and then NO adults were watching the pool?! This week on Two Parents & A Podcast, happy FRIDAY!!! Our third episode of the week is HERE… how are we doing?! (We are loving the Mon/Wed/Fri rhythm so far & we hope you guys are too 🥹)

We get DEEP this episode on the millennial dad mindset. Modern dads are now contributing 30 hours a week of childcare and housework (vs. 10 hours in 1965!!), which is a real shift, but Harrison would also like to be clear: moms are THE SUPERHEROES, carrying the bulk of the mental, physical, and hormonal load!!!

It's been a big week in the Fugman household! First, the SUBSTACK launched yesterday (and yes on this episode we explain what actually Substack hahaha sry), and Flock Turkey Bacon Strips are OFFICIALLY in Target (YUM). 

Then we're a little all over the place (as usual lol). We START with a THINGS WE DMED EACHOTHER on South Korea's FAKE shopping sites for the dopamine hit without buying anything (genius?!). Then we ask: why is every World Cup player wearing PINK cleats?! (the wildest accidental marketing moment we've seen.) And Jules apologizes for the whole Smorgasbord vs. Smorgasburg situation lol.

A convo about the bug Alex found in her Sweet Green leads to another iteration of Harrison's "Stock School" (were wraps the answer to the "slop bowl recession”?!). And we keep the randomness going: a HOT TAKE on whether you should be missing 10% of your flights (per Coogan on TBPN), an UPDATE on the viral girl dad bathroom situation (the guy who called the police got FIRED?!), and finally - are Gen Z employees ACTUALLY lazy?!

We end with another convo on social media: the UK is officially banning social media for under-16s (HUGE win in our opinion!!), plus two new movie/book recs around this subject we cannot stop thinking about: The Social Reckoning (a new version of The Social Network!!!) + Careless People: A Cautionary Tale of Power, Greed, and Lost Idealism.

(Mon/Wed/Fri…) And YES, we are kicking things off with a LITTLE chaos (there were storms in Texas last night and everyone was up all night!!) So if you think this episode feels all over the place… IT IS!! (welcome to the inside of our brains on a Monday morning lol).

On today's episode: we get into a parenting concept that has officially rewired our brain: toddlers are SCIENTISTS!!! We are SO down to let our kids experiment + learn from their mistakes (safely). Plus, our #1 toddler hack: give them two choices (it has saved us in SO many standoffs already).

First we get into the World Cup… it's taking over our lives (and America) in the best way possible!!! The TikTok video of girls asking "wait, when did the US get into the World Cup?!" sent us, the European fans are LOSING THEIR MINDS over Buc-ee's, ranch, & unlimited refills (& sales tax not being on the list price?!), and Rod Stewart canceled his concert to go to a World Cup game (Harrison's defense: no chance, you'd NEVER do that for a group stage match — it was laryngitis).

Plus, Elon Musk officially became the world's FIRST trillionaire after SpaceX's IPO (Stock School with Harrison incoming!), the Summer House butterfly effect (Harrison's wildest theory yet on Jesse, Sierra & West), and the question we cannot stop thinking about: will Taylor & Travis ACTUALLY get married at MSG?! (& who would perform?? 🤔).

And the IRL stuff: Rocky's 8 week update (the reflux is significantly better!!), the importance of building your mom community (a huge s/o to my Austin moms 🥹), going to a kid's birthday party WITHOUT kids (the dual parenting brain is REAL), our BICKER OF THE WEEK (where Alex hid Harrison's laptop outside our studio… you just have to watch hahaha), RIP the summer job (only 30% of teens had one last summer?!), and we went to basically adult summer camp this weekend & we're never recovering!!
