Friend of the show Adam Roberts RETURNS to tell us all about Panic Fest 2026, and everything he and team are cooking up for the 14th edition of the festival. Panic Fest is one of our absolute favourite film festivals and this year's line-up includes a 15th anniversary screening of You're Next (on 35mm!), special presentations of Curry Baker's Obsession & Damian McCarthy's Hokum, as well as Spider One's Big Baby, the new horror-comedy anthology Grind from Brea Grant & Chelsea Stardust, and Scout Taylor-Compton & Danielle Harris' Last Chance Motel which stars A Nightmare on Elm Street's Heather Langenkamp in a bitchin' villain role!

Nightmare on Film Street returns March 5th!
And in the meantime, we're sharing with you the first episode of our new Fiend Club mini-series "Too Long; Didn't Watch" where we only watch the 1st act of a movie we previously skipped (because it looked too predictable) and do our best to guess how the movie ends.
We've all complained that modern horror movies are too formulaic and that Hollywood is out of original ideas, endlessly reusing overworked plots or spoon-feeding us copy+paste stories. So, rather than spend what precious little time we have left, we're only allowing ourselves to see the first 30(ish) minutes of a movie before sitting down to record, placing bets on what we think the big twists & turns will be before finding out how accurately we predicted those familiar beats by reading through the Wikipedia synopsis.
First up on our speculative sideshow is afrAId (2024), the AI based techo-horror that is already way outdated BUT accurately predicted how evil Artificial Intelligence would soon become.
