Revisited - Who Killed Janet Murgatroyd?

    31/1/2026 | 35 mins.
Janet Murgatroyd was just 20 when she was killed. A student at the University of Central Lancashire, and a part-time staff member with Lancashire Police, she had so much to look forward to and enjoy. But tragically, her body was found in the River Ribble in Preston after a night out in 1996.

Today I have re-released my coverage of her murder from June 2017 as nobody has still been convicted of Janet's murder.

Anyone with information can call Lancaster Police on 101.
Alternatively, Crimestoppers can be contacted anonymously on 0800 5555111.

    27/1/2026 | 24 mins.
Julia James, a 53-year-old police community support officer, was murdered while walking her dog in woodland near her home in Kent. The seemingly random and brutal attack shocked the local community and sparked a major investigation. This episode examines the events leading up to Julia’s death, the evidence that led police to her killer, and the court case that followed - a case that raised troubling questions about violence, vulnerability, and safety in everyday spaces.

Dead Famous - A New Podcast I Think You Should Listen To

    12/1/2026 | 1h
As you know, in the true crime world there might be an idiot or two....ok, maybe three...but in the nine years I have been involved in podcasting I have met some really lovely people. One of these is Mark, the co-host of the Seeing Red podcast and he is someone I always find myself chatting to at the bar late into the night at any event. He is always so generous with his knowledge and insights and is such a wonderful person and great company.

Mark has a brand new podcast launching today, Dead Famous. Here is the first episode of Mark's brand new podcast about the death of Caroline Flack. Please do take a listen and let me know your thoughts...
