On December 3, 2016, at 2:46 a.m., Neptune City police discover 19-year-old Sarah Stern’s abandoned car on the Route 35 bridge with the keys still inside. Officers head to Sarah’s home and check in with friends and family, but she is nowhere to be found. For over a month, there is no sign of Sarah—until investigators receive a call from an old classmate living more than 1,000 miles away from the Jersey Shore. Anthony Curry, an aspiring filmmaker, recalls a movie idea his best friend, Liam McAtasney, shared with him—one that reveals the disturbing truth behind what happened to Sarah. Now, with the case going cold, Anthony will do whatever it takes to bring Sarah’s killer to justice.

On January 17th, 2008, at 3:30 PM, a worried husband calls police to report his wife, Denise Lee, missing after he finds their two young kids alone in their North Port Florida home. Less than 3 hours later, at 6:13 PM, a 911 dispatcher receives a call from Denise herself, who's stolen her kidnapper's phone and is disguising her call as a conversation with her abductor. But, before cops can do anything, the call abruptly ends. Denise's father, Rick Goff, jumps into action. As a seasoned cop, he will do everything in his power to track down his daughter, and Denise will use every bit of her courage and intelligence to leave clues behind in a race against the clock to ultimately bring a killer to justice.

On July 9th 1996, in the small village of Chillenden Kent, Shaun Russell comes home to an empty house where his family is missing. On June 7th, 1998 at 6:50am, a little girl, badly injured and covered in blood, knocks frantically on her neighbor’s door in Barberton, Ohio. 6-year-old Brooke Sutton has just found her grandmother, Judith, dead on the living room floor, and even more chillingly, she saw the man who did it.
