The Geometry of Confidence: Trail, Rake, Fork Offset & Flickability. The Direct Connection

    14/04/2026 | 1h 9 mins.
Our first track day of the year at Apex Track Days was an incredible experience, feeling like coming home to my own bike and track. It was so good to be back riding bike and enjoying the thrill of motorsports. The day was filled with pure joy on track, a perfect start to the motorcycle racing season. We dive deep into the technical side of motorcycle handling. We settle the "Great MotoGP Clutch Debate"—challenging the experts on how those 300hp rockets actually launch—and break down the "quintessential number" of motorcycle geometry: Trail. Plus, a massive update on our upcoming giveaway bike in partnership with Eurosport Utah.

Note on Video Quality: We want to apologize for Brian being a bit out of focus in this one. He claims he was just testing out a new "extreme anti-aging" filter that smooths out everything—including his features—but we think he’s just trying to become more aerodynamic for the next track day.

Clip: Motorcycle Giveaway! (Help Us Pick the First Bike)

    12/04/2026 | 7 mins.
We are officially launching a motorcycle giveaway program, and WE NEED YOUR HELP!The concept is simple: we pick up a desirable used bike, spend some time riding and "vetting" it, and then give it the full treatment—upgraded tires, a proper tune, and that meticulous "CanyonChasers Q-tip cleaning" before raffling it off to one of you.The catch? We’re keeping the first few builds under a $10,000 budget, and we need to know what bike would actually inspire you to enter. Do we go for a nostalgic 90s sportbike, a modern middleweight adventure bike, or a custom cafe racer? In this clip, we brainstorm:The Classics: Trellis-frame Ducati Monsters and "Yellow" SuperSports.Modern Favorites: Ducati Desert X or an Aprilia Tuareg 660.The Wildcards: BMW RnineT, the Ducati Diavel, or even a Honda Monkey/Dax.WE NEED YOUR INPUT:What bike under $10k would you want to see us build and give away? Drop your suggestions in the comments below!Patreon Members: We’ve partnered with a reputable giveaway platform that offers a huge perk for our community—Patreon members get 10 bonus entries for every single entry.#CanyonChasers #MotorcycleGiveaway #ProjectBike #Ducati #BMW #CustomMotorcycle #TheBrakingZonePatreon: https://www.patreon.com/cw/CanyonChasers

Pre-Chamber Ignition Explained: The F1 Tech Saving Gas Engines

    07/04/2026 | 1h 22 mins.
A dive into the technical side of motorcycle development, starting with why Trail is the most misunderstood number in motorcycle geometry. We compare the Yamaha R7 and MT-07 to explain how a few millimeters of trail can completely transform a bike from a flickable city carver to a stable track machine.
We also pull back the curtain on MotoGP and World Superbike rumors, discussing the "paradigm shift" as Chinese manufacturers like QJMOTOR and CFMOTO begin to dominate on the world stage. Finally, we explore the future of internal combustion, explaining how Formula 1 technology like Pre-Chamber Ignition and the Atkinson Cycle are being used to eke more energy out of every drop of fuel.
    In this video, we cover:
Motorcycle Geometry Explained: Why Trail matters more than horsepower.
The Industry Shift: Is the Japanese "Big Four" losing their edge to new global competitors?
Engine Tech Deep Dive: How Pre-Chamber Ignition works to save the gas engine.
The Pro Rider’s Dilemma: Brian’s search for the "perfect" street bike that isn't too clinical.
00:00 Are We Being Paid for Positive Reviews?
22:50 China’s Historic World SuperSport Win
