We’re high on life, we’re high on ourselves, and Ben Starr is all shirt.

We’ve made it to Episode 50, so naturally the conversation turns to rolling for ejaculation. Harry did warn us that if you play stupid games, you win stupid prizes. Unfortunately for him, he underestimated just how stupid the games we’re willing to play actually are, and now he’s somehow having to shoehorn that energy into what is supposed to be a rich and complex fantasy world.

We also discuss our homework. Harry set us a simple and genuinely fun task, but never before have five pictures summed up five people so perfectly. From arts and crafts enthusiasm, to the over-achieving prefect, to those who clearly finished their homework in class. Yes Aoife, we are looking at you.

Music plays a huge role in shaping our reactions at the table, and this week we hear a track that immediately strikes fear into our hearts. Alongside the Web theme, Barabask’s music might be beautiful, but it rarely signals that anything good is about to happen. He may not be physically present in Talisca, but his influence, and his link to the Gloam, is very much felt. Everyone’s least favourite Antiqua now has a god mic. That’s character development.

And then there’s the Web. Turns out it has an HR department, as all good organisations should. After all, every successful company lives or dies by its bookkeeping. But how do our characters actually feel about it? Opinions are… mixed. Some are curious and want to learn more., others would rather never go near it again, and for certain people? Well, when the fun stops, stop.

Sometimes, amid the pain and the long road behind you, moments of joy find their way through. Milestones worth celebrating, not because they have been easy, but because of everything it took to reach them. A chance to breathe, to relax, and to remember why you keep going at all. After all, when you’re feeling a little stiff, a moment of relaxation can ease tension you didn’t even know you had.

And while choices are cut and confidence measured, every stitch says something about who you are and what you are willing to show. Some designs come together cleanly, others need reworking, but joy has a way of finding its fit. Sometimes it slips on perfectly, sometimes it pulls a little at the seams, but it still makes the cut.

Yet when voices of discontent try to sour the mood, not everyone turns away. Laughter holds where it can, excitement still flickers, and hope once more proves harder to smother than fear. After all, the party must go on, and when the music plays, the night begins to glitter with intent.

A celebration is in motion, pieced together from courage, colour, and just a little audacity. The only question is how well it will hold when the stitching is put to the test?

Alex is a slow burn hottie and we cannot lie, which is wild, given that none of this is real.

We start by doing Aoife’s favourite thing, praising her. She did an incredible job with the story and we absolutely need to celebrate that, even if she refuses to let us. Harry then reveals the true purpose of Talisca, and how the mechanics of the city were all designed around us, finally accepting that we might actually be heroes. Even if we did experience it all wildly out of order. Sorry, Harry. He also shares what inspired The Run, how it was based on a real world event, and how we were absolutely ready to serve fashion. Yes, there are fashion mechanics. And how devastating it was to learn there is only cotton and linen.

We finally make Alex tell us what happened in that room now that he no longer has to use I’s voice. He reveals just how close he came to being discovered, and how that moment impacts our plans going forward. We also discuss Atticus, how both we and our characters react to him and his story, and whether his plans are enough to count as atonement. From there, things escalate quickly into conversations about raising an army, conscription, and how we are now trying to give people something worth fighting for.

We also talk about Harry and Ben’s moment alone together in the room, before Alex bows out so Ben can dig into the details and the words Elowen heard in her head. We rarely reveal cast spoilers at the table, but this one was just a little too intriguing not to unpack.

There are stories that live in the moonlight, and carried by voices willing to give them breath. Tales passed down, reshaped, and shared again, woven with hope, wonder, and the reminder that beauty is worth protecting. In the glow of lanterns, a single story rises above the quiet, gathering hearts together in a moment almost bright enough to chase the shadows away.

But even the most hopeful tale must make room for truth, and some truths arrive with weight. In the wake of stolen joy, choices must be made, and consequences must be faced. The path to atonement begins slowly, with broken shards and difficult promises, and a plan that asks for courage from those who fear they have none left. Sometimes the only way to defend what you love is to stand before the world and speak plainly, even when the cost is your own peace.

Yet shadows do not only fall across cities. They slip between people too, tugging at old fears and stirring doubts best left in the past. A single choice, and tales from the past can echo far louder when witnessed, leaving questions that settle in the space between trust and truth. But somewhere beyond those lingering questions, the promise of celebration begins to weave itself together, a hint of joy waiting to be stitched into something brighter.

Want to know how the sausage was made? Well, in this week’s episode of Action Surge, we reveal far too much. Including how Doug removed and ate the filling from a sausage roll, then folded the pastry back together and put it back in the bag. Frankly, abhorrent.

Once we have accepted that Doug might be a killer, it is back to D&D. We talk about those little shards of broken gem, and how utterly shocked Harry was when we casually ignored every piece of breadcrumbing he tried to lay down. We reflect on how right it felt for Dolly, Raidion, and Elowen to hang back, making space for some genuinely perfect story moments and very good dice rolls. I might have drugged a guy, but it was extremely cool.

We also discuss how much we love piling on Ben whenever he does something silly, and look at what happened this time. We think about Dolly and her plans for the future, how Aoife imagines all of this playing out, and why we are absolutely convinced it is all going to be incredibly important.

Finally, we discuss how deeply unfair it is for Alex to claim he is not patient when, in reality, he is just very excitable, and we love him for it.
