On the latest episode of the Nickel City Soundtrack we talked to old friend Jay Jancetic who has been in a large array of bands including Plagued with Rage, Halfmast, Extinction, Arma Angelus, Stabbed By Words, Harms Way and more. Hes currently in the bands Contempt , Almost Always and Left of Heaven. We had him on the podcast a couple of times before talking about Plagued with Rage and Black X but now we had him on to talk more about his whole hardcore journey. We chatted with Jay about his beginnings and history and what he's up to now. He is currently in the bands Almost Always, Left of Heaven and Contempt. We talked about band and releases that we feel were underrated this year. We also talked alot about Richmond VA hardcore since thats where Kim currently lives. On this episode of the Nickel City Soundtrack podcast we interviewed Mike Mulley the proprietor of the Queen City Gallery which is located in the Market Arcade building in downtown Buffalo. That is not the real reason we interviewed Mike though, We interviewed him because he is a photographer who has been shooting punk , hardcore , metal and other genres since the 1980s. Chances are if you goto shows in Buffalo you've seen Mike photographing bands. We talked to Mike about getting into photography and music. We also talked to mike about his gallery and a whole lot more. Chris couldn't make it so we had Shanzig on as a special guest interviewer.

In this episode of the Nickel City Soundtrack Podcast Chris & Mark talked the Jeremy Mueller & Karl Buechner who are two out of the three authors of the fantasy novel "The Unraveling: The Counsel of Crows". We talked about the book (no spoilers) and we talked about why they wrote the book as well as a variety of topics around the book.
