Episode 428 - Be Mine, Valentine

Yes, what we said was "Be Mine, Valentine", but what we meant was "We yearn for the mines, Valentine", because who doesn't love celebrating the most romantic day of the year two thousand feet underground in thirty pounds of gear? At least we thought it would be romantic. Turns out coal dust and unsafe levels of methane are not really the mood-setters we thought they would be. So it's probably best if you just stay top-side, grab your sweetheart, pour a drink, and listen to this Valentine's Day episode instead. Cheers!!

Episode 427 - Bad Brew: Ouija

Spirit boards can be used for lots of reasons. Do you need talk to your loved one one last time? Do you want to see if your house has any unwelcome (or welcome!) visitors? Do you really need to know where Aunt Sally hid the family jewels so you can find them and sell them before the rest of your ungrateful lot can? Or maybe your cousin tragically died before giving you the recipe for his famed Strawberry Double Surprise. All perfectly normal reasons. Well, this week we use the board to tell us whether or not Ouija from 2014 is as bad as everyone says it is.

Read any good books lately? We just finished one about 3 podcast hosts who are just going about there lives, but after they post their 426th episode, things get all weird and one of them goes crazy and offs the other 2 with a sharpened twinkie and lives the rest of her life in a ward talking about the flat earth. It was pretty good.

It's not every day that you have the opportunity to chain your mortal enemy up in your basement, shave their head, and tell them, to their face, exactly what you think of them. Well, this week Jim had that opportunity, and Jen seemed pretty unimpressed with the whole thing. She does look good bald though. After they hashed things out, they cracked a couple cold ones and discussed Bugonia. Cheers!!

Ten years ago this month the world was a much different place. Gossip Girl was still on the air. Taylor Swift had just released RED (you remember), we had just lost David Bowie and the First Hunger Games movie was just released. So how different does the world look now?
