One of the the south's biggest international sporting events roars into life this weekend with drivers from eleven different countries lining up in the Castrol Toyota Formula Regional Oceania Trophy as part of the Ascot Park Hotel Teretonga Park International meeting at Teretonga Park.

Motorsport commentator Richard Craill joins us on his first visit to Invercargill to preview the weekend and give us some of the great strories behind some of the brightest talents in the motorsport world who will be in Invercargill this week.

Cycling Southland President and the voice of the sport in the south, Julian ineson joins us to look at the event rescheduling and just what it takes to deliver a quality bike race for 69 years and counting.

You thought we were done for the year. So did we. Then Jacob Duffy went out and broke Sir Richard Hadlee's 40-year record for most wickets across all formats in a calendar year. There was no way we were letting that pass without chatting to the man himself, (even if we were much more excited than Jake was about the numbers).

We chat through his year, the pride he has in helping his country win games of cricket and a very special message from Sir Richard himself.

Southland sport's premier podcast awards are back. Today we award the second annual Goldies as we look back at the sporting year that was 2025.
