I Was Deep in the New Age, Then Jesus Saved Me (Part 1)

    24/03/2026 | 1h 7 mins.
    Send us Fan Mail
This week I’m joined by Luna from Alabaster Ministries to hear her story of leaving the New Age and coming to faith in Christ.
Before becoming a Christian, Luna was deeply involved in witchcraft, Wicca, yoga philosophy, tarot, shamanism, spirit guides, and occult spiritual practices. In this conversation she shares what first drew her in, the spiritual experiences she had, and the moment Jesus met her in the darkness and called her to follow Him.
We also talk about the appeal of the New Age, why it feels so convincing, and how the local church helped ground her in Scripture and truth after her conversion.
You can find Luna at https://www.instagram.com/alabaster_ministry/

What does the Bible actually teach about creation? Is Genesis literal? What are the main Christian views on old earth vs young earth? And where do dinosaurs, fossils, and the flood fit into all of this?
In this episode, I sit down with Eric Hovind from Creation Today to talk through the major creation views, where old earth theories came from, why Genesis matters theologically, and how this connects to death, sin, and the gospel itself.
    We also get into:
    creation vs evolution
gap theory, day-age theory, and framework hypothesis
    dinosaurs and dragons
    fossil records and the flood
why soft tissue in dinosaur bones matters
why this debate is about more than science

Christian Motherhood: Calling, Capacity, and Contentment with Leah (Raising Disciples)

    03/03/2026 | 1h 13 mins.
    Send a text
What does it biblically look like to be a mum—especially when you’re tired, overwhelmed, and pulled in ten directions? Leah (Raising Disciples) talks practical discipleship, routines that reduce chaos, decision-making around work vs home, and a biblical framework for discipline that aims at restoration (not payback).
    Key takeaways
Discipleship at home has two streams: explicit (Bible teaching) and implicit (culture, modelling, prayer, everyday life).
“Consistently average” discipleship is often more faithful than sporadic intensity.
Reading the 'actual' Bible with kids matters long-term: habit, exposure, and letting God’s Word do the work.
Routine can be freeing when the goal is minimising chaos (not performing womanhood online).
Work vs staying home isn’t a righteousness scoreboard—start with faithfulness, motives, and realistic time/energy.
Discipline is necessary and often painful, but it should move toward restoration, not disconnection.
Train (90%) + discipline (cements) beats living in constant consequence-mode.

An Honest Conversation on Serving in Church with Dave Moore

    24/02/2026 | 1h 13 mins.
    Send a text
What is Christian serving really about?
In this episode of Her Theology, Cass sits down with Dave Moore (Executive Pastor at Hunter Bible Church) to talk about serving in church, especially when it’s hard.
    They explore:
Church hurt and the difference between forgiveness and trust
Why serving isn’t about your personality or your gifts
What actually makes a faithful team member
When it might be time to move on (or step up)
How suffering shapes deeper trust in God
Dave also shares his personal journey of living and ministering with a stutter, and how learning to trust God’s goodness in weakness has shaped his faith.
If you’ve ever wrestled with church hurt, team dynamics, gifting, or feeling unsure where you fit — this conversation will challenge and encourage you.
You can find Dave's new book Team Members Handbook across all major Christian bookstores.

Prayerfulness with Peter Adam: Emotion, Discipline, Depression & Fasting

    19/02/2026 | 1h 7 mins.
    Send a text
Prayer can feel confusing, especially if you’ve been taught that “real prayer” must be spontaneous, emotional, and uninterrupted. In this episode, Cass talks with Australian theologian Peter Adam about prayerfulness: what prayer is biblically, how prepared prayers can actually deepen sincerity, and how the Holy Spirit helps us pray through weakness.
Peter also shares honestly about praying through depression, why Psalm 88 is a gift to sufferers, and why sometimes the most faithful thing is to lean on the prayers of trusted friends. We finish with practical steps to grow in prayer and a pastoral prayer to end the episode.
