Janet Overton: “Love Turned Toxic” | MURDERISH Ep. 201
Some murder cases are easier to solve than others. Any complications, from an undetermined cause of death to an inability to locate a body, can hinder the course of justice. On January 24th, 1988, 46-year-old Janet Overton collapsed in her Southern California driveway. Though she’d fallen ill months earlier, medical experts couldn’t identify her affliction even on the last day of her life. An investigation into the events leading to Janet’s untimely death puzzled detectives. A few months down the line an unexpected phone call would provide valuable insights.
