The property outside Bastrop, Texas, was supposed to be a temporary solution—a place to help family after reports of someone wandering through the woods at night. But almost immediately, the nights became unsettling.
The dogs barked constantly at unseen movement outside the house. Strange lights drifted through the trees before vanishing without a trace. And no matter how many times he searched the property with a flashlight and shotgun, he never found anyone there.
Then came the sounds beneath the house.
Late at night, he began hearing children laughing, running, and talking somewhere below the floorboards. At first, he convinced himself it had to be a television or his imagination. But when his wife finally heard the voices too, the house became impossible to explain away.

What started as a fun honeymoon ghost tour through Charleston quickly turned into the kind of experience that’s hard to explain away.
While walking through one of the city’s old alleyways, the tour guide shared the story of a man who had been violently attacked and stabbed there years earlier. According to the guide, visitors on the tour would sometimes leave with an odd burning sensation on their leg… or even unexplained marks appearing afterward.
It sounded theatrical. The kind of creepy detail designed to get a reaction from tourists. And at first, that’s exactly what he assumed it was.
But not long after leaving the tour, he noticed a strange burning feeling in his own leg that wouldn’t fully go away. Later that night, back at the hotel, curiosity finally got the better of him.
What he found on his leg still sticks with him years later—mostly because he still can’t fully explain where it came from.

They rented the cabin for the isolation. After months of stress and noise, a few quiet days beside a remote mountain lake sounded perfect.
