The Girlfriend Styling Date: How to Reconnect, Have Fun & Be More Generous | S1E189
27/08/2026 | 28 mins. What if you could reconnect with your girlfriends through fashion, styling and a little bit of fun?
In this episode, we’re talking about female friendship after 45, why catch-ups can become little more than comparing diaries, and how a Girlfriend Styling Date could bring back the laughter, connection and spontaneity we had when we were younger.
It’s also about generosity in friendship, not about spending money, but giving your time, attention, encouragement and expertise to someone you care about.
So, who’s the girlfriend you could invite on a styling date?

Don't forget to hit subscribe, thank you! x- Absolutely. I’d keep these natural and conversational, while working in the phrases people might actually search for - wellbeing after 50, living well, longevity, morning routines, healthy ageing, lifestyle - without making it feel SEO-written.
What does it actually mean to live well after 50? And do we really need another perfect morning routine, another wellness ritual or another list of things we should be doing to live a longer, healthier life?
In this episode of Styling Matters, I’m sharing my own approach to wellbeing after 50 - and why I’ve become much less interested in optimising every part of my life. From flexible mornings and sleep to movement, creativity, reading, meditation and the small rituals that help me feel grounded, I’m looking at what genuinely makes life feel better rather than what social media tells us we should be doing.
I also question our growing obsession with longevity. Of course I want to live a long and healthy life, but I’m much more interested in how I’m living now. This is a personal look at what living well means to me, why I’ve stopped chasing perfection, and why I believe wellbeing should fit your life - not the other way around.
Here's Jay Shetty's ON PURPOSE episode I mention.

13/08/2026 | 27 mins.In this episode of Styling Matters, I’m answering your style questions on one big theme: how to look modern, polished and on-trend over 50, without feeling like you’re trying to dress like someone half your age! We’re talking about the reality of dressing as a professional woman today, when the rules around smart casual have become increasingly blurred, and how to strike that sweet spot between looking polished and feeling comfortable.
I’m also looking at the return of leggings and the rise of a more sophisticated take on athleisure. Yes, you really can wear leggings and still look chic! And finally, we’re talking trends: how to bring current prints, textures, shoes and accessories into a classic wardrobe so it feels fresh, without becoming a fashion victim. If your wardrobe is working but your style could do with a little updating, this episode is for you.
