The Book of Revelation #84 Rev. 14 - THE TWO-FOLD HARVEST OF THE EARTH
Send us a textIN this episode, we consider the very sobering scene of the last day of earth's history, presented in the dual metaphor of harvest and vintage. This final moment of history brings us to the end of yet another of John's unfolding cycles of visions while on the isle of Patmos.Revelation 14:14 Then I looked, and behold, a white cloud, and seated on the cloud one like a son of man, with a golden crown on his head, and a sharp sickle in his hand. 15 And another angel came out of the temple, calling with a loud voice to him who sat on the cloud, “Put in your sickle, and reap, for the hour to reap has come, for the harvest of the earth is fully ripe.” 16 So he who sat on the cloud swung his sickle across the earth, and the earth was reaped. 17 Then another angel came out of the temple in heaven, and he too had a sharp sickle. 18 And another angel came out from the altar, the angel who has authority over the fire, and he called with a loud voice to the one who had the sharp sickle, “Put in your sickle and gather the clusters from the vine of the earth, for its grapes are ripe.” 19 So the angel swung his sickle across the earth and gathered the grape harvest of the earth and threw it into the great winepress of the wrath of God. 20 And the winepress was trodden outside the city, and blood flowed from the winepress, as high as a horse’s bridle, for 1,600 stadia. The Book of Revelation #83 Rev. 14 - THE THREE ANGELS - HARBINGERS OF DOOM
Send us a textIn this episode, we consider more of Revelation chapter 14:6-13"Then I saw another angel flying directly overhead, with an eternal gospel to proclaim to those who dwell on earth, to every nation and tribe and language and people. 7 And he said with a loud voice, “Fear God and give him glory, because the hour of his judgment has come, and worship him who made heaven and earth, the sea and the springs of water.” 8 Another angel, a second, followed, saying, “Fallen, fallen is Babylon the great, she who made all nations drink the wine of the passion of her sexual immorality.” 9 And another angel, a third, followed them, saying with a loud voice, “If anyone worships the beast and its image and receives a mark on his forehead or on his hand, 10 he also will drink the wine of God’s wrath, poured full strength into the cup of his anger, and he will be tormented with fire and sulfur in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb. 11 And the smoke of their torment goes up forever and ever, and they have no rest, day or night, these worshipers of the beast and its image, and whoever receives the mark of its name.” 12 Here is a call for the endurance of the saints, those who keep the commandments of God and their faith in Jesus. 13 And I heard a voice from heaven saying, “Write this: Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on.” “Blessed indeed,” says the Spirit, “that they may rest from their labors, for their deeds follow them!” WHAT IS SO FEARFUL ABOUT THESE THREE ANGELS? PRIMARILY IT IS THERE PROXIMITY TO THE END. THE END OF THE WORLD. THE END OF ALL THINGS.If you wish to contact me with any comments, questions, suggestions, etc please feel free to write to my email: [email protected]

The Book of Revelation #81 Rev. 14:1 WHAT IS ZIONISM?
Send us a textIn this episode, we transition to chapter 14 of the book of Revelation. We begin our episode where the text does: "Then I looked, and behold, on Mount Zion stood the Lamb, and with him 144,000 who had his name and his Father’s name written on their foreheads"The obvious first consideration is, "What is Mt. Zion?" The subject of "Zionism" is extremely controversial in our culture today, so we tackle the biblical approach to the subject. If you wish to contact me with any comments, questions, suggestions, etc please feel free to write to my email: [email protected]

Unravel with us, the profound and mysterious narratives that lie within the pages of the world's most revered text: The Bible. Our current series: The book of RevelationStatement of FaithThe Bible: We believe the Holy Bible, consisting of the 66 books of the Old and New Testaments, is the inspired, inerrant, and infallible Word of God. It is the final authority in all matters of faith, doctrine, and practice (2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:20-21).The Trinity: We believe in one eternal God, existing in three distinct persons—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—equal in essence, power, and glory (Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14).God the Father: We believe God the Father is the Creator and Sovereign Ruler of all things, perfect in holiness, justice, love, and mercy (Genesis 1:1; Psalm 103:19; Isaiah 6:3).Jesus Christ: We believe Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, fully God and fully man, conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He lived a sinless life, died on the cross as a substitutionary atonement for sin, rose bodily from the dead, ascended into heaven, and will return in power and glory (John 1:1-14; Luke 1:34-35; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4; Acts 1:11; Revelation 19:11-16).Holy Spirit: We believe the Holy Spirit is fully God, who convicts the world of sin, regenerates believers, indwells, empowers, and guides them into all truth, and seals them for salvation (John 16:7-13; Titus 3:5; Ephesians 1:13; Acts 1:8).Humanity and Sin: We believe humanity was created in the image of God but fell into sin through Adam’s disobedience, resulting in spiritual death and total depravity. All people are born sinners, separated from God, and in need of salvation (Genesis 1:26-27; Romans 3:23; Romans 5:12).Salvation: We believe salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone. It is a gift of God, not by works, secured through Jesus’ atoning death and resurrection. Repentance and faith are necessary for salvation (Ephesians 2:8-9; John 3:16; Acts 4:12; Romans 10:9-10).The Church: We believe the Church is the body of Christ, composed of all true believers, called to worship God, edify one another, and proclaim the Gospel to the world. The Church observes two ordinances: believer’s baptism and the Lord’s Supper (Matthew 28:18-20; 1 Corinthians 11:23-26; Ephesians 4:11-13).Sanctity of Life and Marriage: We believe human life is sacred, beginning at conception, and that marriage is a God-ordained covenant between one man and one woman, reflecting Christ’s relationship with the Church (Psalm 139:13-14; Genesis 2:24; Ephesians 5:22-33).Resurrection and Judgment: We believe in the bodily resurrection of both the saved and the unsaved—those who are saved to eternal life with God, and those who are unsaved to eternal punishment in hell (John 5:28-29; Revelation 20:11-15).Second Coming: We believe in the personal, imminent return of Jesus Christ to establish His kingdom, judge the world, and consummate God’s redemptive plan (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17; Revelation 22:12-13).
