• How to let yourself be raw, messy as a healer - and still magical medicine

• How to navigate miscarriage as a healing rite of passage

  On the Secret Witch Show today our guest is Siân Marie Pilkington. Siân is The Wild Mama who has raised her babies and has landed shakti-based, goddess-devoted, and in service to the taboos of blood, birth, sexuality and death. A queer celt, Magdalene, radical birth worker, herbalist, and ceremonialist, she guides femmes back to the Great Mother, blending primal intelligence with embodied, Earth-honoring magic.  Siân now works purposefully to decolonize the rites of passage we’ve been taught to fear, reclaiming birth, postpartum, eros, and endings as sacred. Mentoring doulas and space holders in altered states, ecstatic birth, and collaborative community care, her work is a love letter to those ready to remember, rewild, and bring initiations home. In this beautiful episode about death we explore Siân’s sacred and unique perspective around miscarriage as a natural, ancient healing ‘rite of passage’ - rather than the taboo, over-clinicalised, sanitised, dissociative experience it can be created as by our world.  Sharing the healing transformation she was able to reclaim from her own miscarriage, and the ancient wisdom passed down from elders, Siân shines a light on the interconnectedness of grief and initiation - and the role of ritual and ceremony in alchemy.  Providing practical advice on holistic practices, herbs and remedies to support healing, she illuminates the powerful remedy that can be found (for us all) in learning how to see and hear ourselves and share our stories - touching on shame, rage and grief - and how the witch can help heal the societal avoidance of death and grief. What You’ll Learn from this Episode: Miscarriage is over-sanitised in our patriarchal culture - which has it commonly not seen as the significant ‘peak experience’ and transformative rite of passage that it can be, similar to live childbirth and other life transitions Miscarriage can be a deeply emotional and spiritual journey where we learn how to meet ourselves, face and process intense emotions, including grief and loss - and even pleasure - yet it is also often seen as ‘taboo’ and shameful Left alone, and if we can allow ourselves to sit patiently, whilst allowing everything to move through us, the body has a natural wisdom in how to process miscarriage - and we can attune to our bodies to navigate this.  We are broken in the process - we are giving birth to death - and, often, it is also the path to reclaiming our wisdom. If we have had an over-clinicalised miscarriage, we can still journey with reclaiming this rite of passage - this threshold - through ritual and ceremony, reclaiming parts of ourselves that have felt lost to this process. Telling our story - and being seen and held in sisterhood - is a deeply crucial step in our healing journey, for personal closure. Sharing it with others also offers a remedy for them, too. • How to slow down when you’re afraid you’ll fall behind

  On the Secret Witch Show today, Nicole is diving into the profound topic of ‘slowing down’, particularly when we are faced with the fear of falling behind. Exploring through the lens of Archetypal remedy, Phosphorus - a symbol for those sensitive souls who burn brightly and risk burning out without boundaries and self-care. In this episode she explores the importance of rest, the intuitive healing wisdom within, and practical enquiries for beginning to integrate the lessons around slowing down in daily life. She shares personal stories and witchy medicine to help you recognise and heal common ‘Secret Witch’ patterns of urgency and burnout - that can even sabotage us in the reclamation of our magic, in our tendency to rush to quick fixes, when we think we are broken (which we are not - as this episode highlights!). What You’ll Learn from this Episode: There’s usually a deep-seated wound that often stops us from slowing down - and that’s the fear of falling behind (though it can also be other things) When we push through and try to speed up, we’re often responding to a childhood fear or experience of being inadequate or abandoned Likewise there is a cultural conditioning - societal norms often reward us and make us feel more valid if we are urgent and productive, which leads to a collective misunderstanding that rest is the equivalent of laziness We can heal this by working with the archetypal remedy, Phosphorus - symbolised by the substance on a match which lights fires, this represents our passion and radiance in a healthy state, but in our wounded state, it points to our sensitivity that leads to burn out The route to healing this pattern is really about becoming aware of our internal patterns and the stories that drive our need for constant action - and loving these lost parts of our soul back home. • How to express your soul in the world from inner wisdom and authenticity (and why that's healing)

Reflecting on Kim’s healing journey, her spiritual awakenings and the realisation that true self-expression requires surrendering to a deeper divine guidance, she dived into the distinction between ‘authentic influence’ and ‘manipulation’, the ongoing nature of reclaiming our authentic self (and the fears and challenges that come up with that), and the revolutionary potential of AI in capturing and harnessing our true message (even though it may seem the very opposite of authenticity). She expressed the importance of aligning with our soul to express our gifts, as a powerful reminder for aspiring healers that sharing our voice is the remedy. What You’ll Learn from this Episode: We can often feel unsafe to express ourselves due to the expectations of society - which often have us stuck in patterns of staying on the hamster wheel, burning out, people-pleasing and hiding our magic To begin the journey back to authenticity requires us to get quiet, pause and attune to our inner wisdom - even though that can feel challenging (and we also might not like what we hear) - we have to have time to ‘gestate’ our rebirth Facing our fear of expressing ourselves isn’t easy, and requires deep courage and acceptance that being authentic and sharing our voices may result in both adoration and criticism (and staying open to seeing that’s okay!) As aspiring healers, it’s important to learn a new way of business and marketing that comes from a more feminine lens (supported by the masculine), rather than some of the more ‘traditional’ marketing approaches which come from the lens of lack and manipulation. To do that, we need to learn to have ‘authentic influence’ - to embody the frequency of purity and truth - which is different from ‘manipulative’ marketing. Whilst we might think that AI is robotic and the opposite of authenticity, AI can be a really supportive container to hold our message as we begin to create - offering a masculine structure of remembering our values, whilst allowing us to focus on authentic expression. There are different levels of consciousness (intuitive, intellectual, willful, reactive) which influence how we market ourselves as healers - and it’s helpful to have awareness of these (and which level we, and the people we can serve are in) to reach people authentically. There’s no ‘right’ in how we express our message as healers - only learning to be had. We just have to start expressing our souls, and be open to learning what meets people where they are.
