The holiday season is here! Before you start freaking out about how to handle your dysfunctional family…Relax, I am here to help.
As much as I love a peppermint latte or a festive throw pillow, the holidays can be really rough. This week on Trying To Figure It Out, I'm dishing out my Holiday Survival Guide to get you through these next few weeks.
I share what Thanksgiving and Christmas were like in my family growing up with divorced parents, and I walk you through all the ways I've learned to cope when things start to fall apart over turkey and gravy. In this episode, you'll learn how to deal with your nosy aunt who won't stop asking you prying questions. You'll learn ways to protect your peace and set boundaries and how to make the holidays feel special even when your family doesn't look like the ones in Hallmark Christmas movies. Lastly, I spill all the details about the 25 Days of Christmas Instagrams that I'm (re)launching this year. Cozy up with your favorite holiday bevvy and enjoy!

Victoria Monét is on this week's episode of Trying To Figure It Out! When I started working for Victoria two summers ago, both of us realized right away that we had something special. Our work relationship turned into a real friendship and I am so happy to have her on this episode of TTFIO, revealing a side of Victoria the world hasn't seen.
We reminisce on some of our wildest memories from her first headlining tour, when we spent two months living together on a tour bus. She capped off that year with seven Grammy nominations and it's been a whirlwind since then. We talk about her new music, the inspiration for her next album, and the pressure that comes with creating after achieving such success. She even spills when you can expect new music.
From her mental health struggles, to how she co-parents with her daughter's dad, to her dream music collaboration, we cover it all in this episode. Enjoy!

Eden Malinoff: OCD, Burnout, & Taking a Break from Baked SoCal
Welcome Eden Malinoff to Trying to Figure it Out. Eden is the owner of Baked SoCal – the actual best cookies in Los Angeles. Today, we're here to talk about mental health and what led Eden to take a pause on her baking business.
A few weeks ago, and for the first time, Eden shared on social media that she struggles with obsessive compulsive disorder and an eating disorder. In this episode, we dive into those struggles and discuss how OCD led Eden to start baking in the first place.
Eden opens up and shares her whole story. She moved to New York City freshman year to attend NYU in the dark days of the pandemic. She dropped out to move back home with her parents, and explains from there how she ended up living in LA making the best cookies in the second biggest city in the country.
CONTENT WARNING: THIS PODCAST CONTAINS CONVERSATIONS ABOUT EATING DISORDERS

SOLO: I Deleted Social Media...Here's What Happened
I quit social media for a week and here's what I learned. Welcome back to Trying to Figure it Out. In this episode, I take you through the events that led me to feeling completely burnt out by the doomscroll and deciding to actually do something about it. This is the first time I have ever committed to taking a break from social media. Ever. Since I signed up for Instagram when I was 14 years old, I have not taken a day off from checking these apps. Until now!
My three friends and I decided that we'd had enough and in this episode I'm going to fill you in on everything I gained from that experience. And yes, I'm back on TikTok now, but I've set parameters that I'm sticking to and boundaries that are working for me. Listen to this episode and get inspired to put the phone down.

SOLO: How To Find The Right Therapist
This week on Trying to Figure it Out, I'm sharing all my best advice for how to find the right therapist for you. I share my recent decision to move on from someone who wasn't helping me in the way I need, and how I'm finding a therapist who will be a better fit.
A therapy journey isn't linear and it can be hard to find the right person to help you work through the difficult emotions that will inevitably surface during your sessions. In today's episode, I break down all the different therapy modalities that I've tried, logistical elements to consider when picking your therapist, and where to actually find a therapist who checks all your boxes. There's a therapist out there for you! I hope this episode helps you find them.
