We Like D&D

In this episode, we’re getting into Spooky Season mode! We share a TTRPG to play with real candles that get blown out to progress the story, and a werewolf-themed homebrew druid subclass. Then we put 8 spooky one shots through a playoff bracket, to determine which one would be the best to play at a Halloween session. And finally, we take a quiz to see which D&D classes we’d be IRL…
We will be away, so the second October episode will be an episode that was previously only released on Patreon: we make a roll table of haunted house traps, and play a game of 2 DMs 1 Player at a costume party!

In this episode, we share our second show & tell items including a pumpkin spice-themed cozy RPG, a solo journalling game based on tarot cards, and thoughts & opinions on the D&D Heroes of the Borderlands starter set. We also play a round of Fantasy Fantasy Draft that involves Kelly doing a sexy dance, 2 of Laurenne’s crushes being drafted, and Alec being the voice of reason. And as (almost) always, we end with a game of 2 DMs 1 Player that includes an above-average amount of nipple-touching and a centaur that won’t descend a flight of stairs.

In this episode, we share our first Show & Tell items of the month, that include a homebrew Paladin subclass inspired by Christopher Nolan’s “The Odyssey”, a “The Bear”-inspired TTRPG played in real time to mimic the stress of working in a kitchen, and a solo RPG that allows you to create playlists as a radio show host – and you might even get to hear your playlist on the game creator’s real radio show! We also start to build out our cozy campaign characters (that might both be artificers?), and end the episode with a very silly round of 2 DMs 1 Player. Is this the best character Kelly’s ever come up with? And will we ever see him again? Only time will squirt… I mean, tell.
