This week we are drawn towards a different kind of Godzilla that’s come up a few times over the decades - his animated adventures. On this episode of 2 Black Guys Talk Godzilla, Aaron and Terence move away from the live-action films for a spell to look back at Hanna-Barbera’s Godzilla animated series that ran from 1978 to 1979, as well as Godzilla: The Series, the animated spin-off of the Roland Emmerich film that ran from 1998 to 1999. It has become even more enraged! It has even more powerful weapons! San Diego Comic-Con has been resurrected! On this bonus episode of 2 Black Guys Talk Godzilla, following a busy (and hot) week in and around the Convention Center, Aaron and Terence took on the challenge of recording a late Saturday night episode recapping their experience at 2026’s San Diego Comic-Con. This focuses largely on all of their more Godzilla-related adventures, including some discussion of panels, the various photo-op experiences and activations, wild stories from the press lines, and most importantly - a look/description of all of the cool Godzilla-focused toys, figures, cards, and more we obtained.
