  Welcome to another international episode of Doctoriaid Cymraeg! Although all segments were recorded in the UK, our discussions take us to Hong Kong, where our special guest Israel Lai is originally from. We also, somewhat unexpectedly, found ourselves musing on the Germanic and Scandinavian languages, before wafting into modern noir crime fiction and drama – of the Nordic and Welsh varieties!Israel Lai is a fascinating and multi-talented musician, language enthusiast, podcaster, and all round lovelyhuman being.   This episode has brought us to Saltney Ferry - and to a group of learners and speakers keeping Cymraeg alive and kicking right on the border with England. Today, we’re talking to Lars about his TAITH IAITH and how learning Welsh has changed his life, we’ll hear about the name ‘Saltney’ and whether or not there’s a Welsh version of it, there’s plenty of chatter about the intricacies of Welsh grammar, and Sara shares some of her recent work writing poetry about Afon Dyfrdwy (the River Dee).
