I Apologized to My Daughter: A Puberty Parenting Shift I Didn’t See Coming | Ep. 59

    13/04/2026 | 25 mins.
I had to apologize to my 11-year-old the other day… for a reason I absolutely didn't see coming.

It wasn’t because she was upset.
It wasn’t because something big blew up.

It was a quiet moment...one of those hindsight realizations that stops you in your tracks as a mom and makes you think, wait- something just shifted.

In this episode, I’m sharing the moment I realized we’ve entered a new season in our mother-daughter relationship. One where her story is no longer fully mine to share.

And if you’re raising a tween or teen girl, I have a feeling this is a shift you’re either in right now… or approaching sooner than you think.

Because somewhere along the way, without a clear line or milestone, we move from being the keeper of all their stories… to being the steward of something much more sacred.

Here’s the power in today’s episode:
    • A subtle but important parenting shift most moms don’t see coming
    • How to navigate sharing your daughter’s life while protecting her trust
    • The tension between needing support and honoring her growing independence
    • Why this season requires more intentionality (especially in a world of social sharing)
    • Simple, practical ways to begin handling her story differently WITHOUT losing connection

This conversation felt especially tender for me—not just as a mom, but as someone who teaches and shares real-life experiences to support other mothers.

Because the truth is… this isn’t just about what we say to friends.
It’s about what we share online, what we process out loud, and how we decide what’s ours to carry, and what isn’t.

And I don’t get to be exempt from that just because of the work I do.

So in this episode, I’m walking you through:
    • The moment that led to my apology
    • The realization that followed
    • And the three shifts I’m making moving forward to honor my daughter’s voice, trust, and ownership of her story

We don’t stop being their safe place as they grow.
But we do become more intentional with what we hold, what we share, and how we guide them.

Because part of raising confident girls…
is teaching them that their story belongs to them.

    Listen in if you…
    • Have ever shared something about your child and later questioned it
    • Feel the tension between needing support and protecting her privacy
    • Want to build deep trust with your daughter as she grows
    • Are learning how to navigate this next season of motherhood with intention

    Talk soon!

Worried Your Daughter Will Struggle in Puberty Like You Did? Break the Cycle | Ep. 58

    30/03/2026 | 22 mins.
There’s a quiet fear so many moms carry into motherhood…

What if my daughter struggles with the same things I did?

In today’s episode, we’re talking about that fear honestly, and more importantly, what you can actually do about it.

Because the goal isn’t to be perfect.

It’s to become aware, intentional, and supported in a way most of us never were.

Here’s the power in today’s episode:
    • Why your puberty experience still impacts how you show up as a mom today
    • The subtle ways patterns get passed down (without us even realizing it)
    • How awareness alone can begin to break generational cycles
    • Two powerful reflection points to help you connect your past to your present triggers
    • What it looks like to support your daughter in a way that feels different, safe, and connected

This episode is not about doing everything “right.”

It’s about making sure your daughter never has to walk through this season alone.

If you’re worried about passing your own struggles on to your daughter—and you want both encouragement and practical next steps—this episode is for you.

Our Family Morning Rhythm: Mom Life With Tweens & Little Girls | Ep. 57

    16/03/2026 | 34 mins.
Ever wonder what a real morning looks like in a house with a little one and a tween? Spoiler alert: it’s not perfect. It’s messy, beautiful, sometimes chaotic… and full of grace. In today’s episode, I’m giving you a peek into our actual school-day mornings—how we get out the door, how I show up as a mom, and what actually helps our mornings feel connected and calm.

No “Pinterest-perfect” routines here. Just real life, real rhythm, and real opportunities to breathe through the chaos.

Here’s the power in today’s episode:
How being a morning person vs. evening person changes the way you parent and show up for your kids
The little things I do to support my husband and set the tone for the day
Why sometimes I pack my 6th grader’s lunch, and why it’s actually a gift for her nervous system
Simple rhythms that help keep mornings peaceful, connected, and manageable
How intentionality does not have to equal perfection

Listen in if you’re running to school drop-offs, juggling breakfast chaos, or just trying to survive the morning grind. This episode will give you some reassurance—and maybe a few ideas to try tomorrow.

Emotional Development During Puberty: How Your Daughter’s Feelings Evolve | Ep. 56

    02/03/2026 | 17 mins.
If it feels like your daughter’s emotions have entered the group chat… and brought chaos with them—this episode is for you.

One minute she’s fine. The next minute she’s overwhelmed. And somehow, without trying, you’re riding the roller coaster right alongside her.

Emotional changes during puberty are real. They’re intense. They can feel unpredictable. And most of us were never actually taught what’s happening developmentally, which means we’re trying to lead our girls through something we don’t fully understand ourselves.

That’s a hard place to parent from.

In this episode, we zoom out and look at what’s actually happening in her brain during puberty and why so much of what feels alarming is actually a normal part of growth.

Because this isn’t just about hormones.
    It’s about neurological development.
    It’s about emotional capacity expanding.
And it’s about learning how to talk about it in a way that builds connection instead of frustration.

We’re also talking about why language matters so much during this season and how small shifts in how we respond can help our daughters feel understood instead of labeled.

And yes, we also gently cover when it’s wise to pay closer attention and seek additional support.

Here’s the power in today’s episode:
    • A reframing of “mood swings” that will change how you respond
    • Why emotional intensity during puberty isn’t misbehavior
    • What’s happening in her brain that makes everything feel bigger
    • How to upgrade your language so she feels supported, not shamed
    • Why nothing is broken—even when it feels messy

If your home feels like an emotional roller coaster lately, you are not failing.

    You’re parenting through puberty.

Listen in if you want to navigate your daughter’s emotions with clarity, confidence, and connection.

You’re not alone in this. And you’re doing better than you think.

How to Understand and Track Your Cycle (and Teach Your Daughter) | Ep. 55

    16/02/2026 | 44 mins.
    Okay, real talk.

Cycle charting is one of my favorite things to talk about. Like… I light up. I could go on forever. And sometimes? That’s the problem.

When you live and breathe something the way I do, you can accidentally skip over the very questions most moms are quietly wondering.

That’s why this conversation meant so much to me.

Kaase Levell, podcast host of FR Let’s Talk and founder of Literally Magazine, invited me onto her podcast for this conversation. She asked if she could interview me about cycle charting… and after we recorded, she generously gave me permission to share the episode here with you.

And I’m so glad she did.

She did something incredibly humble and brave:

She admitted she didn’t fully understand this stuff.

And then she asked the questions so many moms are thinking but don’t always say out loud.

This episode is a little different than how I normally teach. It’s curious. It’s honest. It’s foundational. And it might just shift the way you see your body (and your daughter’s!) forever.

And yes… this is a great one to listen to WITH your tween or teen!

Here’s the power in today’s episode:
Why your cycle is so much more than just your period
How your body actually communicates with you every single day
What cycle charting actually is (and what it’s not)
The simple health signs your body uses to talk with you
How it's different from a period app
How to approach these conversations with your daughter without awkwardness or shame
Why understanding your cycle builds confidence — not confusion

This conversation will help you move from “I think I know what that means…” to “Ohhh. That makes so much sense.”

And if you’ve ever felt intimidated by terms like basal body temperature or wondered whether this is too complicated to learn — this episode is for you.

Kaase brings such a refreshing perspective as a mom who simply wants to understand and steward her daughters well. I’m so grateful for her heart, her podcast (FR Let’s Talk), and her beautiful passion project, Literally Magazine.

Be sure to check out all her info in the links below.

Friend, your body isn’t fighting against you. It’s trying to get your attention!

Listen in to learn more than you ever thought possible.
