  • Untidy LIVE with Chelsea Winter
In this episode of Untidy, Matilda and Hannah sit down in person with the glittering, best-selling author, Chelsea Winter, for a very special live conversation with the cookbook queen, mother of two, and all-round force of divine feminine nature. Chelsea has been part of our kitchens and hearts since MasterChef days, and she opens up about everything from her free-range childhood to following intuition, navigating motherhood solo, and finding balance between her brand and her true self. She shares the journey from corporate burnout to MasterChef glory, her evolution through plant-based living and back to balance with her instant best-selling cookbook, Nourish, and how her relationship with food has mirrored her personal growth. Chelsea speaks with striking honesty about the tougher parts of that journey too. Dealing with public criticism, navigating the expectations of fame, and calling out the sexism that still surfaces when women dare to expand beyond the boxes they’ve been put in. Her candour about self-doubt, resilience, and finding strength through vulnerability made for some of the most powerful moments of the afternoon. Chelsea talks candidly about motherhood, in all its joy, chaos, ego hits, and the daily lessons our kids throw back at us. She shares how she’s discovered the importance of self-care, boundaries, and honouring your inner knowing. She shares about her upcoming ‘Nourish & Bloom’ retreats, designed to help women reconnect with their divine feminine energy and each other, and her plans for her future direction. Thank you to our live audience for turning up to share this moment and bringing an incredible vibe. We were honoured to host you and get to hang out for an unforgettable afternoon! Thanks also to Chelsea who gave so much to the audience, being authentic, funny, open, inspiring and just totally captivating. And a huge shoutout to the incredible sponsors who helped make the day such a gift: Allen & Unwin, Chelsea Winter, TET Stadium & Events Centre, Neat Skincare, My Big Moments, Two Rivers, Clover Ferments, Weleda, Clinicians, Wild Pear Kitchen, Bennetto, BraveFace, Sawmill Brewery, Drink Almighty, and, Kombucha Bros. ***VOTE FOR UNTIDY IN THE LISTENERS' CHOICE AWARD NOW TO HELP US TAKE IT OUT IN THE NZ PODCAST AWARDS! • Live, laugh, lamb shoulder
In this episode of Untidy, Matilda and Hannah return fresh (ish) from Taranaki, still riding the high of their live show with Chelsea Winter — sequins, sparkle, and sumptuous snacks. They recap the chaos, the goodie bags, and the rally driver who got them to the airport with four minutes to spare. Somewhere between the lamb paddocks and face masks that never were, the pair cover:• Autumns first crime,• A return of ‘Gareth the Weird Tinder Guy,• The must-watch reality show called Virgin Island that turns out to be surprisingly wholesome, and• A listener story deserves a round of applause. It’s all signature Untidy oversharing, late record hysterics, and capping things off with an evening bowel movement, a korean face mask, and asking the audience to make decisions to shape the show. So pop on your Swanndri, grab a lamington, and settle in for another round of beautiful nonsense from your favourite Hilux and her best, favourite podcast partner. ***VOTE FOR UNTIDY IN THE LISTENERS' CHOICE AWARD NOW TO HELP US TAKE IT OUT IN THE NZ PODCAST AWARDS! • Going solo and donor dads with Jo Mackie
In this episode of Untidy, Matilda and Hannah sit down with listener Jo Mackie to talk about one of the biggest decisions a person can make — becoming a single mother by choice. After years of dating, freezing her eggs, and quietly shelving her dream of motherhood, Jo found herself at 43 standing at a crossroads. Either grieve the life she thought she’d have, or create it on her own. With a little push from her closest friends, a fertility specialist who declared “we’re here to make babies, Jo,” and the universe conspiring in her favour, she embarked on a journey that would bring her son into the world. Jo talks us through what it’s really like: the IVF rollercoaster, choosing a donor, and navigating pregnancy and parenthood without a partner. She also shares her rare and beautiful ongoing relationship with her donor, Kyle, and the donor-sibling connections she’s fostering for Ashton’s future. This is a story of courage, friendship, and self-trust. It’s a reminder that family doesn’t always look the way you first imagined it, but it can still be absolutely perfect it its own unique way. ***VOTE FOR UNTIDY IN THE LISTENERS' CHOICE AWARD NOW TO HELP US TAKE IT OUT IN THE NZ PODCAST AWARDS! • Gotta buy jocks, gotta cry in the shower
In this episode of Untidy, Matilda and Hannah are feeling the eclipse energy, rogue chin hairs, and pending emotional housework. From cup-filling weekends and horse-riding fantasies to crying in the shower, there’s the whole spectrum of chaos, catharsis, and questionable anatomy chat you’ve come to rely upon. They pay tribute to the late, great Nigel Latta, who left his final legacy, Lessons on Living, as a parting gift the girls are loving. They also tackle the hot topics of leggings liberation, discovering the ultimate comfy undies, and lava lamps in regrettable places. Matty’s prepping for her first DJ gig, and the pair are fizzing about their upcoming live show with Chelsea Winter for the stacked goodie bags, big laughs, and still getting to claim eight hours of sweet sleep. Come for the giggles, stay for the life hacks, and remember, only fruit in your gob... ***TICKETS ARE SELLING NOW for the Untidy girls going LIVE with Chelsea Winter! • We digress ... with Brodie Kane
In this episode of Untidy, Matilda and Hannah are joined by the powerhouse that is Brodie Kane, journalist, broadcaster, podcaster, author, marathon runner, army reservist, and the force behind her own media company. She’s lived a thousand lives already, and she’s not slowing down. Naturally, they traverse frank chat about IBS in new relationships, the delicate art of introducing farting around your partner, and why returning an axe to Bunnings is a surprisingly fraught experience. Between the poo chat and laughter, Brodie also shares what redundancy taught her, how she built Brodie Kane Media from scratch, and why backing yourself is the only way forward. The trio get into her memoir ‘Woman Uninterrupted’, her love of endurance sport, her relationship with her legendary mum, Jo, and the joy and madness of finding love for the first time in her late 30s. Brodie’s radical honesty is all hilarity and heart, making this episode feel like a long-awaited catch-up with your most unfiltered mates. ***TICKETS ARE SELLING NOW for the Untidy girls going LIVE with Chelsea Winter!
