- What happens when following Jesus costs you something you never wanted to lose?
In Luke 18, Jesus challenges the rich young ruler with a question that still confronts us today: What are you unwilling to surrender? In this episode, we’re talking about the real cost of discipleship.
I’ll share the story of my brother walking away from the faith because he felt it demanded too much and I’ll open up about one of the hardest seasons of my own life…God calling me to step away from leading worship, something I wrestled with for over a year girl
If you’ve ever wondered whether obedience is worth it, struggled to let go of something you loved, or felt like God was asking too much of you, this conversation is for you.
Because sometimes the only way through what God asks of us… is with God Himself.
So grab your bibles, some tea and idk maybe tissues? As always my DMs are open!! Please like, comment, subscribe!💕 love you guys!! - This week we’re talking about one of the most relatable people in the Bible: Gideon. Before he ever led 300 men into battle, he was hiding, doubting, and questioning whether God had really chosen him.
We unpack who Baal was, why Israel kept turning away from God, and what happened when Gideon’s obedience completely changed his relationship with his own family. We also talk about the reality that following Jesus can sometimes create tension in our closest relationships and why that’s not always a sign you’re doing something wrong. As always, we’ll laugh, learn, and see what this story has to say to us today. 💛📖 - Welcome back girlies!!!!!💕
Today we’re in Judges 4 and Israel is going THROUGH IT 😭 Enter: Deborah — prophet, judge, leader, and actually THE MOMENT. and she waaaasssss that girl.
But of course… if we’re talking about Deborah... then we have to talk about Paul 👀
Because what do we do with verses like 1 Corinthians 14 and 1 Timothy 2? Was Paul against women leading? Was something specific happening? And if Deborah could lead Israel… what exactly are we supposed to do with all of this?
No fighting in the comments pls lol I WAS NOT THERE. We’re opening the Bible, asking questions, and trying to understand the text together.
📖 Today’s main text: Judges 4
With mentions of: 1 Corinthians 14 & 1 Timothy 2
Grab your snack, Bible, and opinions… because girl today? We’re going there. - The Israelites finally made it to the Promised Land… so how have things already gone left??!?!?!?! We have a little bit of backstory and catching up to do before we can even meet our assasin and the man he pays a visit to.
Today we’re diving into Judges 1–3 where Israel starts compromising AND forgetting God.
We talk about:
✨ when partial obedience is still disobedience
✨ The dangerous cycle of drifting from God
✨ Why struggle isn’t always a bad thing
✨ The story of Ehud (my lil the left-handed assassin cutie patootie )
✨ and what modern Christians can maybe learn from Israel’s mess
If you’ve ever wondered why we keep repeating the same mistakes, feel spiritually stuck, or feel like compromise “isn’t that deep” , get your tea cup and grab a seat séñorita!!!❤️
Chapters covered: Judges 1–3
Don’t forget to go read it for yourself girl!!! - Israel gets catfished… and I’m not kidding girl
In this episode, we break down the Gibeonite scam, what it means to move without prayer, and how some consequences are kinda avoidable
Then Joshua 10 flips everything and now we're praying bold, impossible prayers and God ANSWERED
So why don’t we pray like that?
And why do we wait until things fall apart to seek Him? The answer is still TBD lol
If you’ve ever trusted your own judgment, skipped prayer, or only talked to God in crisis… samesies girl🥲 but we’re gonna live and learn
We're in Joshua 9-10. LOVE YOUUUU!!!
