Our guest this week is from Newport Beach, where he made a name for himself dominating the NSSA ranks and charging The Wedge at an age when most kids were just learning to paddle out. For years, he's been one of the standout Surfers in the lineup and is widely regarded as one of Newport Beach's brightest hopes for the Championship Tour.
Over the past few seasons, he's been making a serious push on the WQS, and with the guidance of Brad Gerlach and WaveKi, his Surfing, strategy, and competitive mindset have reached a whole new level. Fresh off a huge victory at the Jack's Surfboards Pro in Huntington Beach just a couple of months ago, he's carrying major momentum into this season as he chases qualification for the Challenger Series.

Our guest this week emerged as a prominent figure in Skateboarding during the 90’s, captivating audiences with his innovative style and technical mastery in both Street and Transition skating. From legendary video parts in classics like Interface, Cinematographer, and many others, to decades of respected contributions to skateboarding culture, he helped shape the look and feel of modern street skating while earning the admiration of generations of riders.  
But these days, his passion extends beyond Skateboarding. Growing up in Newport Beach, he was surrounded by the sport thanks to his father, legendary shaper Lance Collins of Wave Tools Surfboards, whose factory was a magnet for many of the biggest names in Surfing.
