SASQUATCH THEORY

In this episode of Sasquatch Theory, I interview John from Missouri, who grew up hunting the rugged backcountry of New Mexico. John shares a series of disturbing experiences that began during a mule deer hunt in January 2021. While traveling deep into the National Forest on a 4x4 trail, John and his hunting party discovered strange, human-like scat and large footprints. Even more unsettling, some of the tracks appeared inside their fresh tire tracks, suggesting that whatever made them had crossed the trail after they arrived. The tracks eventually led toward the area where they had parked their truck. Later, they discovered that a log had been rolled into the road—and similar tracks were found nearby. Months later, John returned to the same region for another hunt.

While quietly making his way down a trail before daylight, he began hearing rocks sliding, trees shaking, and something large moving along the mountainside. At first, he suspected elk. Then objects began flying toward him. They were rocks. As John attempted to figure out what was happening, he describes the atmosphere suddenly becoming extremely heavy and unnatural. Looking toward the hillside, John eventually spotted what he believed was a Sasquatch moving in the distance and attempted to zoom in on it with his phone. Two days later, John returned to the same location after spotting a group of mule deer bucks in the area. This time, the encounter became even stranger. John says he began experiencing thoughts that didn't seem like his own.

The atmosphere became thick once again, and he describes hearing what sounded like a voice inside his mind telling him, “STOP.” Then he saw a face watching him through the trees. Approximately 80 yards away, John describes seeing what appeared to be a male creature with reddish, leathery-looking skin, thick hair, a pronounced or hooded nose, and unusual pointed ears. John felt that the being was extremely intelligent—and potentially dangerous. Maintaining eye contact, John slowly backed away. In this interview, John takes us deep into the New Mexico wilderness and recounts the tracks, thrown rocks, strange atmosphere, possible telepathic communication, and terrifying face-to-face encounter that left him with a feeling of primal fear. In this episode of Sasquatch Theory, I sit down with Jen from Eastern Iowa near the Mississippi River to hear about a lifetime filled with strange and unexplained experiences. Jen’s encounters began when she was just a child. She recalls seeing spirits that appeared as elderly people and experiencing things she couldn’t understand at such a young age. As she grew older, the activity continued, along with unusual synchronicities that seemed to follow her throughout different chapters of her life. But not all of her experiences felt harmless. Jen describes frightening encounters with what she believes were dark or evil spirits and entities that attached themselves to her and affected her life.

Over time, she began to recognize what she believed was a connection between these experiences and her own thoughts, emotions, and state of mind. She eventually learned ways to control her fear and emotional reactions in an effort to keep the activity at bay. On this episode of Sasquatch Theory, I interview Scott from Georgia about a series of Bigfoot encounters and unexplained experiences that have followed him and his family. Scott's first Bigfoot sighting happened in July of 2022 while he was working on a mapping project near Plains, Georgia. The area consisted of miles of timber, and temperatures were approaching 100 degrees. While mapping along the side of the road, Scott looked up and saw something emerge from the trees. The creature was solid black, extremely tall and thin, and appeared to glide as it crossed the road. Scott watched it take approximately six steps before disappearing into the timber on the opposite side.

When he drove to where it entered the woods, he could clearly see a large opening in the vegetation where the creature had passed through. Years of strange experiences would follow. Scott's children reported seeing a white Bigfoot-like creature while searching for their dog near a relative's property. Scott and his wife have also heard powerful impacts against the side of their house that Scott believes could be connected to Sasquatch activity. During another investigation, Scott attempted something unusual—playing his guitar to see if the activity would respond. Soon afterward, wood knocks were heard around the property and trees appeared to be violently shaken. 

At his cabin, Scott has heard strange chattering between what he believes were multiple Sasquatch creatures. He and his wife have also experienced mysterious lights. During one particularly frightening incident, Scott's entire room suddenly illuminated with an unexplained light and he found himself unable to move. Scott has continued researching the area with his friend Dale. Together they have documented possible Bigfoot tracks in the snow, X-shaped tree structures, unusual tree bends, broken trees approximately seven feet above the ground, and other strange formations throughout the property. The activity has also reportedly included knocks against windows and unusual objects such as feathers appearing on the porch that Scott and his wife wonder could be gifts.

But perhaps one of their strangest experiences involved something completely different. Scott and his wife witnessed a pale, crawler or rake-like creature in their driveway
adding another mystery to an already unusual series of events.

In this episode of Sasquatch Theory, I sit down with filmmaker and Bigfoot researcher Jason Kenzie, creator of the Searching for Sasquatch series. Jason has traveled throughout Canada and the United States interviewing eyewitnesses and investigating some incredible reports surrounding the Sasquatch phenomenon. Jason shares his experiences speaking with First Nations people in Canada, who told him about what they referred to as the Sasquatch people. They showed Jason an area where they believed the creatures traveled, and while investigating the location, Jason discovered impressive tracks and what was described to him as a possible migration path. But some of Jason's most intense experiences would come later while investigating the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.

Deep in the forest, Jason and his fellow researchers discovered unusual tree structures, twisted trees, fresh breaks, and trees pushed across trails. After deciding to spend the night in a hammock tent, Jason smelled an awful, rotten odor and heard strange howls in the distance. Then something approached his hammock. Jason heard a loud crack followed by footsteps coming toward him. He says he could actually feel the vibrations through the hammock before something came close enough to grunt directly into his ear. And the activity didn't stop there. During continued investigations, the team experienced unexplained footsteps, fresh tree breaks, strange vocalizations, and mysterious eye shine that appeared to watch them from the darkness.

One researcher using a high-end thermal device also reported observing something near their camp. Jason describes another frightening encounter in which he believes he witnessed two possible Sasquatch—one moving incredibly fast and another appearing to crawl away before disappearing into the forest. After reviewing his footage, Jason also noticed unexplained eye shine behind him. Jason even discusses recordings that he believes may have captured Sasquatch communicating back and forth in the wilderness. What was surrounding these researchers in the Michigan woods? And how much closer did Jason get to these mysterious creatures than he ever intended? On this episode of Sasquatch Theory, I interview Dan from northern Minnesota about a series of strange experiences that he and his family have had in the remote wilderness near Lake Superior. Dan’s family owns a secluded 40-acre property overlooking Lake Superior where they spend time hunting, fishing, camping, and exploring the surrounding forests. Approximately 15 years ago, Dan was on a fishing trip with a friend near Echo Lake when something suddenly woke him in the middle of the night. Coming from the surrounding wilderness was an extremely strange and powerful sound. Dan describes it as sounding almost like an air horn, but it appeared to be an unknown animal vocalizing repeatedly.

Along with the vocalizations, they could hear what sounded like something pounding the ground. Neither Dan nor his friend has forgotten what they heard that night. The area also contained an abundance of raspberries and other natural resources that could potentially attract wildlife. Dan’s family has experienced other unexplained activity in northern Minnesota as well. His brother-in-law once heard a terrifying vocalization coming from a cedar swamp that he described as sounding like a “mountain gorilla.”

During another experience, Dan and his son were hunting in the Chippewa National Forest when they suddenly developed a bad feeling about the area and decided to leave. As they made their way out, they discovered a freshly broken branch that had been torn from a tree and left directly in the middle of the trail. Dan’s main encounter occurred in the Silver Bay region near Lake Superior—an area surrounded by vast stretches of northern forest. What was producing these strange vocalizations in the middle of the night?
