SASQUATCH THEORY

In this episode of Sasquatch Theory, I interview Heywood from the Crow Indian Reservation in Montana about a series of strange encounters experienced by him and members of his family. One of Heywood's earliest experiences began when he heard what sounded like a little girl screaming near the family's barn late at night. Heywood prayed and used traditional practices taught within his family. By the following day, his father discovered something disturbing near the barn—a barbed-wire fence had been pulled down, fence posts had been broken and bent, and part of the fence had been dragged approximately fifteen yards away. His family believed something extremely powerful had moved through the area. Another frightening incident occurred during the winter when Heywood's younger brother came running toward the house claiming he had seen Bigfoot outside.

Heywood used a spotlight and saw a massive figure near the woodline that he estimated to be over seven feet tall. His younger sister, Otter, also witnessed the creature and described it as huge, with long hair, quick strides, and partially white coloration. Heywood later had another encounter while outside with friends. At first, he thought a horse or cow had gotten loose, but the massive figure suddenly bolted down a hill. He heard two tremendous thuds before the creature somehow began moving almost silently through extremely thick vegetation. Heywood noticed what appeared to be a white patch of hair on its leg, and his friend Olivia also witnessed the strange activity.

The experiences extend even further into Heywood's family history. He describes two pairs of glowing eyes that he and his father witnessed near the property, as well as an account from his great-grandfather involving a terrible odor and a large hairy figure looking through a window. During our conversation, Heywood also discusses the spiritual and cultural perspective surrounding these experiences within his family, along with stories of giants, Little People, Thunderbirds, and the importance of maintaining a connection with the land. On this episode, I interview Dillon from Louisiana. Dillon grew up hunting, fishing, and spending time outdoors with family. His experiences began at a young age after he and a friend explored woods near a creek and crossed onto neighboring property where they discovered the skeleton of a deer. Near a pond, they began hearing voices coming from the woods. Moments later, Dillon’s friend noticed something crouched down in the brush. He described a massive figure with broad shoulders making loud huffing and puffing sounds before they ran back home. Years later while squirrel hunting in Kisatchie National Forest, Dillon noticed movement in the timber and caught sight of a dark black shoulder disappearing behind a tree. The strange activity didn’t stop there.

Dillon’s father experienced repeated tapping on a window that sat unusually high off the ground. His brother later reported seeing a massive white hairy creature outside at night. Dillon’s grandmother also shared stories of seeing a large hairy arm reaching toward a window and another encounter she associated with a reptilian “lizard man” type creature. Dillon believes these encounters point toward something that may exist between the physical and spiritual world. What do you think?

Today on Sasquatch Theory, I sit down live with author and longtime Sasquatch researcher Christopher Noël from Vermont, creator of the Impossible Visits YouTube channel and author of several books exploring the mysteries surrounding the Sasquatch phenomenon. Christopher has spent years studying witness reports, habituation sites, Sasquatch behavior, and some of the more controversial aspects of the Bigfoot mystery. His 2009 book, Impossible Visits: The Inside Story of Interactions with Sasquatch at Habituation Sites, examined reports from researchers and witnesses who experienced ongoing activity in areas believed to be inhabited by Sasquatch.

During this conversation, Christopher and I take a deep dive into what he has learned from years of research and countless witness accounts. We discuss his Sasquatch Savant Theory and the fascinating parallels he believes exist between certain reported Sasquatch behaviors and characteristics associated with autistic savants. We also venture much deeper into the mystery. Christopher discusses telepathy—commonly referred to as “mind-speak” within the Bigfoot community—and the many witnesses who claim to have experienced communication seemingly without spoken words. We explore reports of Sasquatch appearing and disappearing, their extraordinary ability to remain concealed, and theories surrounding what some witnesses describe as cloaking.

Could there be aspects of physics, consciousness, perception, or the quantum world that we don't yet fully understand? Could some of these ideas eventually help explain why Sasquatch remains so incredibly elusive despite thousands of reported encounters? Christopher approaches these questions by searching for patterns and connections between witness testimony, behavior, human cognition, and unconventional scientific ideas. John from Canada returns to Sasquatch Theory for Part 2 of his extraordinary story and shares even more strange experiences from the Canadian wilderness. During one incident, John came across a terrified park worker crouched down with bear spray. The worker had noticed unusually large rocks along the road and believed a massive creature was following him through the woods. On another occasion, John was swimming with a group when they began hearing strange vocalizations and whistles coming from the surrounding forest. As the years passed, John continued hearing unexplained sounds and experiencing unusual activity in the wilderness.

John also met numerous people who claimed to have experienced Sasquatch encounters of their own. Interestingly, some of their stories came from the same areas where John had already experienced unexplained activity. But John’s story eventually becomes even stranger. While riding his bike, John describes feeling as though something he couldn’t see was chasing him. He also recounts an experience involving missing time and claims that he somehow found himself transported to another location without understanding how he got there. What was John encountering in the forests of Canada? Could some of these experiences be connected, or are there more conventional explanations? In this episode of Sasquatch Theory, I interview John about a series of strange Sasquatch encounters that began while he was serving in the Navy in 1987. John was driving down the road when he noticed an unusual fog beginning to roll into the area. As he continued driving, an enormous hairy creature—estimated to be around eight feet tall—suddenly walked in front of his vehicle. John said the creature reminded him of Chewbacca from Star Wars, and the experience stayed with him for years. But John's encounters didn't end there. During another experience, John believes he encountered a group of Sasquatch that began throwing rocks in his direction.

John is also a drummer, and at one point he decided to play drums in an area where he believed the creatures were present. To his surprise, he began hearing what sounded like rock clacks coming back from the woods in response. Were the rock clacks simply a coincidence, or was something deliberately responding to the rhythm of John's drums? Join me as John shares his experiences and describes what he believes has been interacting with him from the forest.
