In Episode 24 of Still Noise I take the podcast abroad to LA and catch up with Pixie Bella, or better known online as @pixpop.
Pixie is an Australian photographer and content creator living and working in Los Angeles, California. Predominantly a fashion photographer, Pixie has shot for major brands including House of CB, Princess Polly, and White Fox, with her work featured on billboards across Los Angeles and beyond. Her career has also taken her to major music events like the iHeartRadio Festival and Camp Flog Gnaw, where she’s photographed artists such as Doja Cat, Tate McRae, Tyler The Creator, and A$AP Rocky. In this episode, we dive into her journey behind the lens, what it’s like stepping in front of it as a model and content creator, and how she went from life in Australia to building and running a successful photography business in America alongside her husband Jesse, the challenges that came with making that leap and so much more.

In Episode 23 of Still Noise, the first episode of 2026, I catch up with John 'Bucket' McGroder.
John is the owner and captain of The Barrenjoey, a surf charter boat operating in the Mentawai Islands. With decades of experience navigating one of the world’s most iconic and demanding surf regions, Bucket is trusted by surfers from all over the globe. Blake Fernance is a musical composer and guitarist whose solo project, Ferndance, blends cinematic guitar textures, gentle rhythms, and layered string work to create meditative, enchanting soundscapes. He’s also the guitarist for The Condiments, a multi-genre outfit fusing funk, gypsy jazz, folk, and swing; and a core member of Sundial, the heavier, experimental psychedelic rock band where he occasionally trades guitar for violin. In Episode 20 of Still Noise I have a chat with filmmaker and director, Andrew Kaineder.
Andrew Kaineder is an award-winning filmmaker and photographer known for his powerful storytelling and cinematic take on surfing and nature. His projects like Beyond the Noise and the Derek Hynd series have earned him major recognition, including winning 'Nikon Surf Video Of The Year' in 2020. He’s also teamed up on numerous films with professional surfer and previous guest, Russell Bierke, capturing some of the most intense and beautifully shot big wave sessions in over the past few years. Aside from surf cinematography we also discuss Andrew's passion for the environment, his involvement in filming and directing multiple wildlife documentaries, fatherhood, upcoming projects and a multitude of other topics.
