The Biblical Anarchy Podcast

We speak with Caleb Collier of the Church and State Podcast about his background, how he got into libertarian and constitutional circles, and why he started his show. We also discuss privacy and digital security tools, including Graphene OS, encrypted messaging, VPNs, and other ways to reduce surveillance. We spend much of the episode on political tribalism, especially within conservatism and the Republican Party, along with U.S. foreign policy, military bases, intervention, debt, and the effects of war. We then turn to the church, warning about political Christianity and urging Christians to put Christ above nation, politics, and ideology while studying Scripture for themselves.

Jacob returns after a long hiatus to discuss recent life changes, plans for a more regular release schedule, and a few previously recorded interviews that will be released soon. He also focuses on the tension between Christian faith, political action, and the use of power, reflecting on the costs of political engagement and arguing for a third way: Christians should rely on persuasion, service, and sacrifice rather than coercion. He also discusses the limits of state power, the dangers of political violence, and the importance of the church in caring for the poor, the elderly, and the vulnerable. He concludes by returning to the gospel as the answer to cultural decay, calling Christians to humility, neighbor-love, and a greater priority on the kingdom of God than political identity.
