Their guest this week is Olympic gold medallist, cycling commentator, and all-round good bloke, Scott McGrory. He joins the boys for one of the most remarkable stories we've heard on the podcast.

Scott's sporting journey reads like a movie script. After winning a bronze medal in the Team Pursuit at the 1988 Seoul Olympics, he endured a 12-year wait before returning to the Olympic stage. Then came the fairytale, winning gold alongside Brett Aitken in the Madison at the 2000 Sydney Olympics in front of a home crowd.

But what makes the achievement even more extraordinary is what Scott was carrying with him at the time. Just three months before those Games, he and his family suffered the heartbreaking loss of his 11-month-old son, Alexander. Scott opens up about navigating unimaginable grief while continuing to pursue his Olympic dream, making for a powerful conversation about resilience, perspective, and the people who helped him through it.

The boys also dive into Scott's life beyond competing, including his role as a high-performance coach, how elite cyclists are developed, and what it takes to identify and nurture future champions. As a former Australian Olympic team selector, Scott also lifts the lid on the selection process and the difficult decisions that come with choosing athletes to represent the country on the world's biggest stage.

Their guests are Ben and Will Hayes from Lindsay Park Racing, two of the brightest young trainers in Australian racing and custodians of one of the sport's greatest family legacies.

Alongside their brother JD, Ben and Will have taken the reins of the family business built by their father, legendary trainer David Hayes, and grandfather Colin Hayes. With an astonishing 221 Group 1 victories attached to the Hayes name, racing success is part of the family DNA, but as the boys explain, that doesn't make the job any easier.

BT and Harrison chat with Ben and Will about growing up around stables, horses, and some of the biggest names in racing, before diving into the realities of running a modern training operation and the pressures that come with carrying one of the most famous surnames in the industry.

The conversation also covers the recent fires at their Euroa property, the resilience required to navigate challenges both on and off the track, and the unique lifestyle that comes with working in racing seven days a week.

This week Brian and Harrison skip the entrée and go straight to the main… Bill Kusznirczuk, one of Victoria’s most respected and influential town planners, and while it might not sound like your typical footy podcast guest, this turns out to be one of the most fascinating chats we've had.

The founder and Managing Director of Clement-Stone Town Planners, Bill has spent more than 35 years helping shape Victoria's cities, suburbs, sporting precincts, and communities. Throughout his career, he's advised governments, councils, developers, and community groups on some of the state's most significant planning and infrastructure projects.

But this conversation goes far beyond town planning.

Bill reflects on his upbringing as the son of Ukrainian migrant parents, the values that shaped him, and the journey from humble beginnings to building one of the most respected planning businesses in the country. Despite his remarkable success, Bill remains incredibly humble, thoughtful, and community-minded - qualities that quickly shine through during the chat.

Having known each other for many years, BT and Bill share a genuine friendship, which leads to plenty of laughs along the way. Unsurprisingly, more than once, BT tries to turn the podcast into a private consultation, with Bill doing his best to provide answers without officially submitting an invoice.
