#071 Marc Wilson - Track Days, Full Factory Experience

    03/05/2026 | 1h 33 mins.
MARC WILSON is the operations manager for MEGA which runs ride days at Sydney Motorsport Park and Phillip Island GP Circuit. He is also a senior coach with the California Superbike School and one very knowledgeable bloke when it comes to motorcycle riding on track.
In this episode, Marc and Jorge discussed Marc's recent experiences at The Bend racetrack, where Marc had ridden the full 35 corner circuit and found it impressive with a good balance of technical sections and fast flowing areas. They explored the growing presence of women in motorsport, with Marc noting increased participation in Mega's events and the success of their women's only ride day. The conversation covered Mega's expansion to offer both BMW and Ducati hire bikes, including the development of a premium "full factory experience" package with dedicated support and personalised setup for riders seeking that level of experience. Marc shared details about his ongoing project building and testing a BMW S1000RR with various modifications, including data logging equipment, to help riders understand optimal setup parameters. They also discussed tyre management strategies and the importance of proper traction control settings for different riding conditions.

#069 Andrew Smart - Race and Road, Ricondi

    24/04/2026 | 1h 1 mins.
ANDREW SMART is brains behind the Ricondi leathers brand here in Australia, and the Race and Road motorcycle gear business.
In this episode Andrew and Jorge chatted about all things associated with leathers and various aspects of motorcycle safety as it applies mainly to both track and street riders. They covered topics including leather versus textile, air bags, impact protection, helmets, and even Jorge’s tin foil hat conspiracy thought that Yamaha might be running an 850 already in MotoGP. Would be interesting to find out that was actually true.
