‘TORNADO TOM’ CAMERON wins the 2026 Oceania Junior Cup! 
In this episode Jorge spoke with "Tornado Tom" about his recent win in the 2026 Oceania Junior Cup (OJC). Thomas shared his experiences from the season, including his biggest challenge at The Bend and his love for the Morgan Park track. He discussed the importance of training and coaching, particularly with Damian Cudlin, and how it contributed to his success. Thomas reflected on his mental approach to racing, emphasising the need to enjoy the sport and manage self-imposed pressure. They also talked about his future aspirations, such as potentially joining the Asia Talent Cup, and his interest in riding bigger bikes like the Ducati Panigale V4. Last time we spoke with MARC CHAPPELL, almost 3-years ago, he was 8 years old and beginning his journey of learning how to ride motorcycles fast on tarmac. In this episode Jorge sat with Marc and his dad, NEIL CHAPPELL (aka Chappy) as a catch-up conversation to find out about Marc’s progress in motorbike racing and the Mini GP Academy in New Zealand. Marc had recently won a championship in a three-round series after transitioning from an automatic to a manual 160cc bike, with significant improvements in lap times through focused training. The discussion covered Marc’s experience at California Superbike School, coaching techniques used by Chappy, and the growing popularity of the Mini GP Academy.

MIKE JONES, (Mad Mike) from the Yamaha Racing Team, and Jorge discussed 2026 racing season results and then preparations for 2027. They discussed the transition to a summer racing series starting in October 2026, which will run seven rounds monthly and potentially attract international riders. Mike shared his off-season training activities while preparing for the first race in October. The conversation also covered the technical differences between Superbike and MotoGP racing, with Mike explaining that the rigidity of GP bike chassis and hard tires make the transition difficult for riders used to production-style bikes.

TOM CAMERON (aka Tornado Tom) is competing in the 2026 bLU cRU Oceania Junior Cup sporting the race number 23. 
To kick this episode off Jorge presented a little of the history of the Oceania Junior Cup (OJC) as it is now known, and delved into its focus on junior motorcycle racing talent as a pathway into the big league of professional motorcycle racing.
