  • The Dangerous Truth About The Peptide Craze (I Tried It)
This podcast episode is part three of a travel series where Matt recounts his recent trips to longevity and healthspan conferences in Geneva, Chicago, and Mauritius. He shares his experiences with jet lag, workouts, and the contrasting cultures of these events, from the more "alternative medicine" feel of the Geneva summit to the more scientifically-grounded Mauritius conference. A major theme is his critique of the current state of the longevity field, where he advocates for evidence-based approaches and calls out what he sees as misinformation, specifically regarding the overhyping of peptides, stem cells, and the misuse of epigenetic "aging clocks."This video was produced by One Billion Media, an agency that specializes in YouTube virality for health brands and experts. About The Optispan Podcast with Matt Kaeberlein

Optispan is a vision for what health should be. The typical person gives up 10-20 years of quality life in exchange for disability, frailty, and early death. We call this "the lost decade". Time that should be spent with loved ones doing the activities you enjoy are instead spent suffering from multiple diseases and taking a cabinet full of medications that probably do as much harm as good. We believe that the current practice of medicine is disease care, not health care. We believe that everyone can get closer to their own optimal healthspan.
