In the Bible, the number forty shows up when something is being tested, purified, or prepared. Forty days. Forty years. It is never random. It is the stretch between what God promises and what finally comes to life.

When the music that bubbles up in my head began to take me back to a story from 40 weeks ago, I pushed back. Why would I do that? Wrong question. Just trust. OK.

This episode returns to the conversion story of Michael Campanelli, a man who went to Medjugorje not even sure he believed in God. What happened there was not flashy or emotional hype. It was uncomfortable. A call to confession. A confrontation with long buried sin. A moment of grace that broke through his resistance and changed the direction of his life.

That moment became a turning point. Skepticism gave way to surrender. Confession led to healing. And eventually, Michael found himself helping guide others on pilgrimages through his Padre Pio ministry.

This is not a rerun. It is a return. Forty weeks later, what was planted has been tested long enough to begin bearing fruit.

Chris is the kind of guy you might live next door to. A regular husband and dad, doing his best, never presenting himself as special or gifted in any way. Just humble and real.
In this episode, he shares several moments where God quietly but unmistakably showed up. The most dramatic came in 2015, when his children were still very young and he was diagnosed with the most aggressive form of multiple sclerosis. Doctors told him he would likely be disabled within six to nine months.
Crushed and searching for meaning, Chris turned to prayer. Without even owning a rosary, he began counting prayers on his fingers. That's when the miracle happened. Since then, there have been other encounters, moments of protection, answered prayer, and reassurance. Not because Chris is extraordinary, but because God is.

In this milestone episode, I return to real moments where help arrived quietly and unexpectedly. No wings were seen. No explanations were given. At the time, the people involved didn't even call it an angel. They simply knew something intervened.
Through stories of guidance, protection, warning, peace, and rescue, I invite you to slow down and reconsider what you may have overlooked in your own life. Because if angels were present in these moments, perhaps they have been present in ours as well, long before we had language for it.
