در اپیزود 39ام کنسرو هنر، در ادامه بررسی سبک روکوکو به چند تن از مهم ترین شخصیت های تاریخ هنر در این دوره می پردازیم 

مادام دو پمپادور یکی از جنجالی ترین و تاثیر گذار ترین زنان دربار لویی 15 ام، فرانسوا بوشه نقاش محبوب دربار و استاد سبک روکوکو و سیمئون شاردن،نقاشی که تصمیم گرفت راه متفاوتی از سبک روکوکو را در پیش بگیرد.

در اپیزود سی‌وهشتم کنسرو هنر، به فرانسه پس از مرگ لویی چهاردهم می‌رویم؛ دورانی که در آن، پشت ظاهر باشکوه و تجملی زندگی اشراف، بحران‌های مالی و سیاسی در حال گسترش بود و اندیشه‌های عصر روشنگری اقتدارهای سنتی را زیر سؤال می‌بردند. در این اپیزود با چگونگی شکل‌گیری سبک روکوکو، ویژگی‌های بصری و فکری آن و زندگی ژان آنتوان وتو، یکی از مهم‌ترین نقاشان آغاز این سبک، آشنا می‌شویم و تابلوی «زیارت به جزیره‌ی سیترا» را بررسی می‌کنیم؛ اثری رؤیایی و عاشقانه که زیر زیبایی ظاهری‌اش، اندوهی از گذرا بودن عشق و لذت پنهان شده است. در پایان نیز به ماجرای مجسمه‌ی ونوس میلو و شباهت عجیب آن به مجسمه‌ی ونوس در تابلوی وتو می‌پردازیم.

در این اپیزود می‌ریم به فرانسه‌ی لویی چهاردهم؛ جایی که هنر فقط برای زیبایی نبود، بلکه ابزاری بود برای نمایش قدرت. از کاخ ورسای و تالار آینه‌های مشهورش گرفته تا شارل لو برن، هنرمندی که زبان تصویری «پادشاه خورشید» را ساخت. درباره‌ی این حرف می‌زنیم که چطور معماری، نقاشی، باغ‌سازی، تپستری و حتی تشریفات درباری ،در خدمت نمایش عظمت سلطنت قرار گرفتند. سری هم به وو لو ویکنت می‌زنیم، ماجرای سقوط نیکولا فوکه را مرور می‌کنیم و شاهکار معروف «خانواده داریوش در برابر اسکندر» را بررسی می‌کنیم. این اپیزود در واقع آخرین ایستگاه ما در باروک فرانسه است؛ درست قبل از آن که وارد دنیای ظریف‌تر و بازیگوش‌تر روکوکو بشیم.
