How do you feel when you say youโll do the thingโฆ and you donโt? This is the BIGGEST CONFIDENCE KILLER! You know why? Because when we break promises to ourselves over and over we stop trusting ourselves little by little. So in today's episode we're breaking down the importance of keeping the promises you make to yourself and how to get better at it ๐
๐ฆ Homework: Rebuild Trust With Yourself
Step 1: Choose ONE Small Promise (Non-Negotiable)
I want you to choose one small, realistic promise you can keep every day for the next 7 days.
Not:
* โIโm going to overhaul my whole life.โ
* โIโll work out 6 days a week.โ
* โIโll be perfect.โ
Yes:
* โIโll go for a 10-minute walk.โ
* โIโll drink a full bottle of water before coffee.โ
* โIโll prep one meal.โ
* โIโll go to bed 20 minutes earlier.โ
๐ Rule: It should be so doable that your brain canโt talk you out of it.
Step 2: Write It Somewhere Youโll See It
Put it in your notes app. On your mirror. In your planner. On your fridge. This is you making a promise to yourself not a vague intention. Finish this sentence and write it down: โFor the next 7 days, I promise myself I will __________.โ
Step 3: Keep the Streak Alive (Not Perfect โ Consistent)
Every day you keep that promise, check it off.
Youโre not tracking results. Youโre tracking self-trust.
If you miss a day: No spiraling. No shame. No โI suck, whatโs the point?โ You simply return the next day.
Because winning isnโt perfection. The win is: โI came back.โ
Step 4: Reflection (Do This in 7 Days) Have them answer these questions:
* Did I keep my promise more often than not?
* How did it feel to start trusting myself again?
* Where else in my life have I been breaking promises to myself?
* Whatโs one promise Iโm ready to upgrade next?
