This song is an introduction to season 2 of A Course in Miracles with Female Words, which is an entirely musical journey through the lessons and text.
"108 Beads" is based on my morning mediation practice of singing the "reinterpreted ho'oponopono". The original four phrases are "I love you, I am sorry, please forgive me, thank you." Two of the phrases are painful, and so to bring them in line with the principles of ACIM, they have been changed to: "I love you, you love me, we are forgiven, thank you."
Dr. Hew Len made the four phrases of the ho'oponopono famous when he worked at an institution for the criminally insane and was able to bring unprecedented healing to the inmates, not by meeting with them in person, but by looking through their files, every word, every disturbing photo, and saying the four phrases of the ho'oponopono, in essence taking upon himself their "sins" and healing his own perception with love. This is very much in line with the teachings of A Course in Miracles, and I believe if we all adopted it, we could heal the world.
