The All Blacks fall short against South Africa, the Warriors still have another life, and there is plenty happening across New Zealand sport this week.
Jason Davis and Quentin Hill are back for the ShedLife NZ Sport Weekly Wrap, starting with rugby’s biggest rivalry and what stood out from the All Blacks series against the Springboks. Quentin gives his standout players from both sides, including Jordie Barrett, and we look ahead to what is coming next for the All Blacks.
Then it is Warriors time. It was a tough one for Jason, but the season is not over yet. We get into the loss, the big moments that changed the game, the players who stood up, and why the faith is still there heading into the next one.

WBA Oceania champion Francis Waitai is back in the ShedLife NZ Studio with his coach Shaun George from Never Surrender, fresh off a first-round knockout of Cowin Ray.We get straight into the fight. Francis and Shaun break down how a game plan they had drilled for weeks ended the contest in about two minutes, what they saw in Cowin Ray, and how a new strength and conditioning program changed the way Francis prepared.
There is plenty from behind the scenes too. We talk about the trip to Australia, missing a flight after the motorway was closed overnight, pre-fight blood tests, and the reality of cutting 6 to 7 kg during fight week. Then we get into the wider fight game. David Nyika vs Floyd Masson. Tyson Fury vs Anthony Joshua. Why some fighters seem easier to knock out once they have been properly switched off. And why New Zealand has such a strong history of producing strikers, going all the way back to Bob Fitzsimmons.
But this yarn is about a lot more than boxing.Francis talks about leaving school with nothing, what that decision can cost you over the next ten years, and the point where he decided to go back and change direction. Shaun also takes us through the work Never Surrender is doing with Hauraki Plains College, building a programme aimed at reconnecting disengaged young people with school, discipline and a better path forward.
It is a good boxing yarn, but there are plenty of lessons in here about preparation, discipline, setbacks and backing young people before they get too far off track.

The Warriors finish the regular season with a massive one-point win, and Jason Davis and Quentin Hill are back in the ShedLife NZ Studio to wrap another big week across New Zealand sport.The Warriors got it done against Manly in a tight one, closing it out with a late drop goal and building plenty of confidence heading into the finals. Jason is well and truly on the bandwagon, the old Warriors jersey is back out of the cupboard, and attention now turns to the Dolphins and what could be a huge finals run.We also get into the All Blacks after another tough battle with South Africa. There were plenty of positives, some big individual moments and a game that again came down to the little things.
