The Sons are FREE

It was in laying hands on my wife for healing from chronic leg pain and praying “… in Your name …” that Jesus pummeled another of my religious notions, saying: “You heal her.” Say what?!? I have no power to heal anyone! Or do I?

Signs and wonders are frequent for those who follow the Lord and walk according to the Spirit. And sometimes the experiences we have contain a deeper meaning, to be revealed by pondering what we’ve witnessed.

How could we, small as we are, ever take in the immensity of God, who is enthroned in the heavens and uses the earth as his footstool? Transcript can be found at RSS.com.

Prompted to read what the Bible says about insecurity I looked up a number of web pages all of which recommended hurling select scriptures at my insecurity monster until it retreated. “Great” I thought, “formula Christianity. Just the ticket for anyone who wants to do battle with that resurgent insecurity beast every day for the rest of their life.” Transcript available at RSS.com.

Can any 2 believers decide to get together, invoke “Jesus name” and thereby compel Him to join them? I don’t know how you react to that approach, but to me it sounds like a form of witchcraft.
