In Richmond, Kentucky, an Uber driver was recently arrested and charged with first-degree rape and first-degree sodomy after a passenger accused him of sexual assault. The victim claims to have gotten into the vehicle and fallen asleep before waking up in the suspect's parked vehicle in a secluded lot, not at her residence. Within minutes of his release from the San Bernardino County Central Detention Center on May 9, 2025, Manuel Nunez-Palomino was quickly re-arrested and taken back into custody.
