What If The Altar Is Where Prayers Become Worship?

    16/03/2026 | 4 mins.
What does it mean to place something on the altar of God? In the gospel of Jesus Christ, the symbolism of the altar appears throughout scripture—from ancient temple worship to our modern covenant discipleship. In this Anchor Point episode, we explore what it really means to place our challenges, desires, and even our will on the altar of the Lord and allow Him to sanctify both the offering and the offering giver.

Drawing from gospel principles familiar to members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, we discuss how the altar represents sacrifice, consecration, sanctification, and a broken heart and contrite spirit. How does the Lord use our trials, struggles, and sacrifices to shape us into disciples of Jesus Christ? And how does the act of surrendering something sacred to God become part of our covenant relationship with Him?

Elder Jaggi joins us in a thoughtful conversation about the deeper meaning of altars—both ancient and personal—and how disciples today can understand the spiritual purpose behind placing something on the altar of the Lord.

We reflect on what we personally place on the altar in our lives—our challenges, fears, hopes, and desires—and how the Lord uses those offerings to sanctify us in the process. Often the very things we bring to the altar become sacred as the Lord refines our hearts and aligns our will with His.

We also talk about prayer as a modern expression of the altar. When we kneel in prayer, we symbolically kneel at our own altar—bringing our burdens, gratitude, questions, and sacrifices before Heavenly Father. In those quiet moments, offering a broken heart and a contrite spirit, we allow God to transform us.

This conversation is a reminder that discipleship is not just about what we give up—it’s about what the Lord makes of us as we place our lives on His altar.

I Left the Church… But God Never Left Me

    15/03/2026 | 56 mins.
LDS conversion story • Book of Mormon testimony • returning to church • faith crisis • priesthood • repentance • personal revelation • Jesus Christ • restored gospel • coming back to God
He thought he had moved on.
Faith was part of his past — something familiar, but distant. Years passed as he chased dreams, built a life, and quietly wondered if God still had a place in it.
Then came a turning point he didn’t expect.
A simple invitation reopened questions he thought were settled. As he wrestled with belief, purpose, and who he wanted to become, he realized something unsettling: he had never truly asked God for himself.
What follows is a story of quiet miracles, hard choices, and discovering that testimony isn’t inherited — it’s forged.
A powerful journey about coming back, finding Jesus Christ in unexpected places, and learning that sometimes the road home begins the moment we admit we’re lost.

    What Are You Looking At?

    13/03/2026 | 4 mins.
In this Anchor Point from Elder D. Todd Christofferson’s General Conference talk “Look to God and Live,” we explore covenant keeping, prayer, crying unto God continually, gratitude day and night, and making Jesus Christ our highest priority.

What does it truly mean to “look to God”?

    It’s not perfection. It’s direction.

    Looking to Him means:
    • Striving to keep the commandments a little better each day
    • Crying unto Him continually in prayer
    • Counseling with the Lord in daily decisions
    • Letting gratitude shape our hearts
    • Choosing His peace over fear and insecurity

We don’t have to master it overnight. We look to Him by trying again. By lifting our eyes instead of lowering them. When insecurity whispers, the invitation is always the same: look up.

We do not look down to find Him.
    We look up—to our Father.
    We look up—to Jesus Christ.

And as we make Him not just a priority, but the highest priority, His presence steadies our hearts. We remember who we are—children of God—and we feel His peace replace our fear.

Look up. Look to Him. Live.

Without The Spirit, Everything Gets Messy

    11/03/2026 | 4 mins.
In this Anchor Point from Elder D. Todd Christofferson’s General Conference talk “Look to God and Live,” we explore what it truly means to prosper in the land—through covenant keeping, the companionship of the Holy Ghost, and abiding in the Lord’s presence.

The scriptures teach that if we do not keep the commandments, we are cut off from the Lord’s presence. Elder Christofferson reminds us, “Oh, how we need the Holy Ghost.” Prosperity isn’t just material blessing—it is spiritual guidance, daily revelation, and living with the Spirit as our constant companion.

    In this episode we discuss:
    • What “prosper in the land” really means in LDS doctrine
    • How the Holy Ghost speaks—promptings, peace, impressions, clarity
    • How obedience and covenant faithfulness invite the Spirit
    • Avoiding influences that drive away the Lord’s presence
    • Resting in the steady guidance of the Holy Ghost

True prosperity is not found in ease—it’s found in companionship with the Spirit. When we live worthy of His presence, we receive inspiration, protection, and direction for daily life.

This is how we prosper. This is how we live.
